I love this album I’ve been an Elton from just after he got famous.
I just realized it - this song sounds exactly like a John Denver song! Both voice and lyrics.

Love this album -- half the songs are incredible and half the songs are crap, but with strategic skipping, it's my favorite.

Left the Oregon farm in 1970 for college. Bought this album back then and still play it every few years. Thanks Bill.
Checked this album out of the library when I was younger and I fell in love with The Brown Dirt Cowboy.
