Shall we return to the good ol days?
When people of color and women knew their place?
When the 'weirdo's' kept their secrets secret?
And Military Conscription forced young men to fight in wars?
Political control of people's bodies will not simply stop with reproductive organs of American Women.
With two hot wars, (the ancient, who's wanker is bigger scenario) Silly wabbit, don't you know that once in power, and essentially eliminating any more elections, Republicans will quickly separate low wage sons from the silver spooners to protect their interest$?
"Voter's voices" will mean nothing. A police state controlled by extremes will simply kill those who resist.
Forget Roe at your peril, gentlemen.
Those who do not learn from History, are doomed to repeat it. â Winston Churchill

These quotes are from the 1920 republican platform. Do you really think he's 'a friend to Mexico'? or supportive of union labor? Or in favor of tax reform only after our obligations are covered? Equal pay and rights for all people? supporting the league of nations? fair housing and government support for people acquiring housing?
I don't see him as an 'old timey republican' by any stretch.

Had to go look that one up. It's not quite correct, but not that much better. The extended quote is:
"
'I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn't vote.' Do you know why? Because in those days, we had people who fought for real social change and they were called Republicans. And they are the reason why women can vote today.
"
The problem of course, is that now he's really trying to give republicans of today credit for getting suffrage passed. Here's a few other snippets from the Repulblican party platform of the day:
"We favor a liberal and generous foreign policy founded upon definite moral and political principle, characterized by a clear understanding of and a firm adherence to our own rights, and unfailing respect for the rights of others."
Mexico got name checked:"The Republican party is a sincere friend of the Mexican people. In its insistence upon the maintenance of order for the protection of American citizens within its borders a great service will be rendered the Mexican people themselves; for a continuation of present conditions means disaster to their interests and patriotic aspirations."
"The Republican party stands for agreement among the nations to preserve the peace of the world."
farm labor: "The Republican party believes that this condition can be improved by: practical and adequate farm representation in the appointment of governmental officials and commissions; the right to form co-operative associations for marketing their products, and protection against discrimination; the scientific study of agricultural prices and farm production costs, at home and abroad, with a view to reducing the frequency of abnormal fluctuation"
industrial labor:"We recognize the justice of collective bargaining as a means of promoting good will, establishing closer and more harmonious relations between employers and employees and realizing the true ends of industrial justice."
taxes: "The burden of taxation imposed upon the American people is staggering; but in presenting a true statement of the situation we must face the fact that, while the character of the taxes can and should be changed, an early reduction of the amount of revenue to be raised is not to be expected."
There is a lot more, but this guy wouldn't be a Republican in 1920.
Hmm, other than supporting trump, coops and unions...these quotes seem to paint him as an old time republican?
