Beaker wrote: To clarify, I hold viewpoints that would be described as liberal on some topics. Quite liberal. On other topics, my views would be seen as conservative. Can't say that I have any views that any would consider far-right, or far-left, though not everyone operates their political compass from the same centre. On the whole, my weighting probably leans somewhat conservative. In America, I'd most likely be identified as an Independent voter.
In Canada, I've voted repeatedly for both Liberal and Conservative candidates. Issues matter - I am anything but a party-line voter. Certainly no one here knows the full range of my beliefs, as the list of serious topics discussed here that I have participated in on the forum are very few. Many people here have made the error of believing I am 100% conservative or even far right, while failing to grasp the range of topics that never or rarely appear on the forum, where my participation therein would indicate leanings in the opposite direction. People see what they wish to see in their opponents/enemies. It's easier than facing the truth, I suppose.
Zipper sees you as a voice of conservatives here on this forum. She would not appear to be your opponent nor your enemy.

And anarchy? Perhaps you missed the posting guidelines on the front page of the forum. Doesn't look like the stated intention is anarchy to me.
Anarchy has guidelines but anarchism also acknowledges that those guidelines are only "enforceable" to a point and are not really there to be enforced but to guide. "What is not forbidden is mandatory" does not fly here - it's fascist, irrational, really, and that sort of attitude is precisely why this thread exists; to ridicule it. Just like a tree down by the water baby I shall not move Even after all the silly things you do Please please please don't drag me Please please please don't drag me Please please please don't drag me down

Mugro wrote: Beaker can have the exquisite pleasure of proving me, and all his other detractors, wrong by simply avoiding personal attacks, head games, etc. and sticking to the topic at hand. If I attack Beaker as an SOB, and he subsequently acts like a perfect gentleman, not only do I look like a total ass - even more so than usual - but I feel like a total ass. It's Beaker's chance to demonstrate that I'm an ass to my own self. This is a priceless opportunity.

ssociated Press 1:01 p.m. CDT, August 29, 2009 JACKSON, Miss. - A Wisconsin man pleaded guilty to threatening to assassinate Barack Obama in January, but said he was just trying to get word out about the apocalypse. Forty-two-year-old Steven Joseph Christopher told U.S. District Judge Henry Wingate on Friday that he is the second coming of Christ, and wanted people to know that much of the world will be destroyed in 2012. According to the indictment, the message reported Jan. 11 by the administrator of a Web site called "Alien Earth" asked readers to donate a gun and bus fare from Mississippi to Washington. Wingate scheduled sentencing Nov. 6; Christopher could get up to five years in prison. Prosecutors told Wingate last month that a psychologist had found Christopher mentally incompetent, but the judge ruled otherwise. ——— Information from: The Clarion-Ledger, http://www.clarionledger.com

Beaker wrote:My my, aren't you quite the stalker. You've made notes on every wee little thing that I ever did that might have annoyed you. edit: reader's note - see this excerpt from Beaker's Greatest Hits /edit :winkything:Yes, I know you've been angling for my attention for a long, long while — obviously e-jealous of the affections I shower on some here. But I see right through you. You're not looking for discussion - you're here just to brawl. Sorry dude - that's not me, and never was. Just so you don't go away disappointed yet again, and since you mentioned LGF, here's a link to yet another inflammatory article over at that notorious hate site: The "notes" have resided in that storage device called "the human brain". I'm just barely touching the low points, too. The Beaker technique is to use a wide array of techniques to harass, hound, annoy, and savage other RPeeps until they yawp. They subsequently cool down; there's a period of psychological/emotional retraction as the anger subsides. Beaker swoops in with a showy display of outrage and demands for abject apology. It's cruel sport with RP members, it's disgusting, and I won't remain silent about it, barrage of abuse or not. I don't want your notice. I do want RP forum members to notice what you're doing to the forum. And I really don't care if you assist grandmothers across the street at night in arctic conditions in Saskatoon; all I can see is what goes on here in this forum. Your "Beaker's Greatest Hits" link merely confirms what I'm saying. For those who actually take the trouble to follow it, they can easily scroll back a dozen posts and see how it developed. I didn't level a singe ad-hominem at you, nor did I play games with your handle, "beaker". I was responding to a link you provided criticizing Tim Geither which featuring the keen insights "A $100 billion mistake!" and "Idjit". As if you're not here for a brawl. I kept up with your responses, and it was all going reasonably civilly - nobody in their right mind would call it stalking. You responded by applying the insulting name of "bantha fodder" to me - an assault that was completely unjustified. You did nothing to support your contention that Geithner didn't know what he was talking about but instead posted a silly page of links to year-old posts from me - do I have anything to do with Geithner? You'll also notice that I did not initially respond to the provocation by a mangle of my own, and only after you repeatedly resorted to insolent name calling did I respond in kind. That was a mistake - I should have contacted Bill G, and given him one more hassle to confront in what must be a world of hassles. I think you're counting on me being pissed off and flustered by a revisit to the insolence. Why else would you provide a link that very clearly shows how you initiated a puerile bout of name calling?
