This is of my very few 10s.
I think this music is just perfect in every sense. 
Actually this album is for me, the best ever indie masterpiece. It even has a backwards tune!

I used to jam out to The Stone Roses and Seahorses as I drove all over the wild country roads of the magical realm of Noto Hanto, Ishikawa-ken, from '93-2000, and though it hurts and grieves me that it was largely destroyed in the terrible quake of Jan '24, those memories of seeing that surreal coastal and mountain scenery while listening to such incredible, inspiring music shall live forever in my mind... Love this song. Finally got into Rasputin Records and found their only copy staring at me. Waterfall is #4 but #5 [aptly named] flows beautifully and  continues the harmony and progressions. I'm happy.

I saw an interview with the singer from the Seahorses, John Squire's band after the Stone Roses. [for the uninitiated, Squire is the guitarist here]. He said Squire would have his on-stage amp so loud it was impossible for the singer to hear himself through the monitors. It's impossible to sing if you can't hear yourself for the ego of the guitarist. Great musician but a bit of dick (actually that goes for Brown too!). Autotune wasn't a thing in 1988 when this was recorded.
