Mmm, are you in or are you out?
Leave your things behind,
'Cause it's all going off without you,
Excuse me, too busy,
You're writing your tragedy,
These mishaps you bubble wrap,
When you've no idea what you're like.
So let go, so let go, hmm jump in,
Oh well whatcha waiting for? it's alright,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown,
So let go, yeah let go, just get in,
Oh it's so amazing here, it's alright,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown.
It gains the more it gives,
And then it rises with the fall,
So hand me that remote,
Can't you see that all that stuff's a sideshow?
Such boundless pleasure,
We've no time for later now,
You can't await your own arrival,
You've twenty seconds to comply.
So let go, so let go 'n' jump in,
Oh well whatcha waiting for? it's alright,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
So let go, yeah let go, just get in,
Oh, it's so amazing here, it's alright,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown.
So let go, hmm jump in,
Oh well whatcha waiting for? it's alright,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown,
So let go, yeah let go, just get in,
Oh it's so amazing here, it's alright,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown.
In the breakdown,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown,
Yeah, the breakdown,
So amazing here,
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown.
Check out her Tiny Desk performance if you never saw it - it's a nice little peek inside her brain. Also Guy Sigsworth (the other half of Frou Frou) makes an appearance. :)
Thank you for the tip!
What's that in the window??
It was Halloween last night

I've had this CD for years (omg 20 years!?), and never noticed that!

Every cut is great.
Check it out.
Imogen Heap and Jeff Beck "Blanket" at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club with a young Tal Wilkenfeld on bass.

Great scene when this song was used in "Garden State". I just love this song.
Garden State was a GREAT soundtrack of the early aughts! Almost 20 years old now (ouch!), it came out in the same year that I found RP, and perhaps not coincidentally it is full of artists one still finds on RP (and served as my first introduction to a few of them):
Bonnie Somerville
Cary Brothers with Jason Kanakis
Coldplay
Colin Hay
Frou Frou
Iron & Wine
Nick Drake
Remy Zero
Simon & Garfunkel
The Shins
Thievery Corporation
Zero 7

Very good comment! I rated this Song with an 8. I never post negative comments! If i don´t like a song i rate it with a 5. It is a personal help for me, because if it is played the next time i see the yellow heart and click the PSD Button. But this don´t happen to often. Long live RP!
hahaha - some days i hear something and it touches me somewhere. other days I look at something I rated >/= 7 and ask WTF? almost always look at lyrics to see if there was something speaking to me that day. or a sound maybe making me nostalgic. love the station for this reason...
Please. If your comment is not positive why bother. Imogen Heap is a grammy award winning engineer, producer and song writer. Just because it's not your personal taste why be unpleasant. Hit the PSD button if you don't like something but please stop being negative.

greetings, so many wonderful words for this wonderful music by so many wonderful musicians from all parts of our beloved planet,
I love the music, and in deepest gratitude to Bill and Rebecca,
BUT, I am always blown away and love to watch the slideshow with each and every tune - incomparable visual candy . . .
how on this earth to you do this? Jedi mind tricks?
She must have been some sort of child prodigy to have done that, given that she was born in 1977.
This lady deserves much, much respect! She is amazing and eclectic... She'll keep on keeping on and I can't wait to hear more! Yeah, if Jeff Beck is on to it, then I think we have some real cred here... That is, if you are keeping score.
Try rubbing it some.
You will not be disappointed. The entire album is amazing!
It is so.
trev,
remember RP is an eclectic popular music station . . .
jambo,
Capital letters, man, at the beginning of sentences. Ok? . . .
Meanwhile, IH is on my most-favorite list.
WTF are you talking about?
Meanwhile, IH is on my most-favorite list.
You should! It was my first intro to Imogen Heap and her's is a catalog worth checking out.
"Peter Gabriel Loops"? Is that some sort of artsy breakfast cereal?
LMAO!!!
If we are forbidden from being critical, then maybe Bill should rename the "add your comment" button to the "add your praise" button.
No, that would be what is playing on pop radio right now. Precisely why you and I are here instead.
child has no game.
Dude, the song was recorded in 2002. This is the future. 'Nuff said.
Cant imagine rating this that highly.

Yes That's it. Originals videos on Tube too!!!
That comment just struck me as hilarious.

Plays in last 30 days: 1 ........ what made you come to that conclusion ??
Overplayed at ANY number....

Agreed!
This is the only place I've heard this song, but I don't listen to the radio for music very often.
I disagree!
Explain, please!
Thanks!! That is SERIOUSLY amazing! I have even more respect for Imogen now, she is so talented. I saw her perform live a few years ago at the Wiltern in LA — one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Well.... how did it go?

How is she live? I just got tix.
Well.... how did it go?
er...maybe that should be the other way around.

I actually thought the same thing when I made that comment. See what crap pop drives people to?

Your post made me pay attention. Yeah its cool!

good ear.
Oh well...as long as that person singing is a woman. Please.
That's Guy Sigsworth, the other half of Frou Frou, standing in the left window.
Anyways, I love this song. Awesome song from a incredible album.

I often find her silly, childish, awkward, and pretentious.
But there's no doubting that this is a beautiful song.

She must have been some sort of child prodigy to have done that, given that she was born in 1977.
She prefers the term "embryonic savant".
