One of those songs that made an everlasting impression in my memory. I was 12 years old when this was a huge hit in The Netherlands. Not a big fan of this particular mix, but better Mory Kanté in a weird mix than no Mory Kanté.

I know I sound like an old fart, but the original is so much better to my ears. I remember when it was released, I was eleven and it felt great to hear that kind of song on the radio.
Not that I dislike that version that much, but most of the addition feels like unnecessary wrapping. And I don't have a problem with remixes in general :)
