One, two, three, four
Tell me that you love me more
Sleepless long nights
That is what my youth was for

Old teenage hopes are alive at your door
Left you with nothing but they want some more

Oh, oh, oh
You're changing your heart
Oh, oh, oh
You know who you are

Sweetheart bitterheart now I can't tell you apart
Cozy and cold, put the horse before the cart

Those teenage hopes who have tears in their eyes
Too scared to own up to one little lie

Oh, oh, oh
You're changing your heart
Oh, oh, oh
You know who you are

One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can't buy you back the love that you had then
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can't buy you back the love that you had then

Oh, oh, oh
You're changing your heart
Oh, oh, oh
You know who you are

Oh, oh, oh
You're changing your heart
Oh, oh, oh
You know who you are
Who you are, are, are, are

For the teenage boys
They're breaking your heart
For the teenage boys
They're breaking your heart

First heard this song in an Apple commercial arond 2012 and never heard from this band again other than RP.
I love Feist! I'd marry her.
Egg-sellent & groovy!
yum!!!
Makes me want a new apple product.
Now this is one artist who when I first heard her I thought was truly original different and interesting.

What continent are you from?😉
Crystal-clear sunny blue skies in Calgary today.  Glad this rolled around on today's Main Mix.
  Leslie Feist

One of the videos for this is amazing. I watched it over and over again with my kids when they were little. Also the Sesame street version is great.

Nearly the same thought on my end, and oddly, my rating is not a 1, 2, or 3; 4 from me!
Long Live RP!!

A song by Dear Reader would fit absolutely perfect to this one...

Glad Apple gave her enough money from this that now she can do what she wants (even more than before).

NO!  You can't make me watch American Idol!  I don't need another bowel movement!

(oh yeah... this is a great song, by the way!)
Jaclyn Smith

Jaclyn gives this a thumbs-up. I give it whatever she gives it. But she's not the boss of me. At all.

Uh..... her tongue, which is quite usefull when it comes to singing if you ask me. And her tongue works quite well! Just listen to how nice this song feels....................... {#Tongue}

Like this song quite a bit with one glaring 'but' - that 'whoa-oh-oh' refrain makes it sound like she's channeling Shania Twain (song name I've mercifully blocked from memory).

I saw her on Sesame Street, doing a reworked version of this song. It was great!
Find this song in the dictionary under "guilty pleasure".
The album cover is hot, but the amount of "pick-up" sticks she can balance in the lovely crook of her neck is what really is beyond compare. Nice toon btw.
I love every song on this album....{#Bananasplit}

I identify myself by the 10 car, eighty wheel traction motor subway train that I ride twice a day, most every day. It is my favorite form of transportation. Dude, does that get me extra bonus rating points (e.g if I rate this a 7 it counts as a 14)? I do happen to ride the 1, 2, or 3 train if that that helps. It is a VERY POWERFUL machine, lottsa horsies.

I think RP should play that version instead.  It's way more enjoyable than this.  (Which is not to say that this song is bad, I just like "chickens back from the shore" a lot as a lyric.)

I luv Feist; her melodies are fantastic and she's got the lo-fi sound snuggled in her hip pocket; its so comfortable to listen to
Meh.  Nice voice, but the song is just blah.  {#Neutral}
I never heard of her until Sean  posted the Muppets video in the forums and I immediately fell in love with her.
Now I'll be forced to live the rest of my life alone and unloved, since no woman will ever be able to compare to her. {#Cry}

Leslie can really, really sing, one of my favorite vocalists. This one just doesn't show that 'til the very, very end. More Feist!! Just not this one please. I still give a 6 'cause it's Leslie Feist.
Sheesh...two Feist songs in one day?

So that's the Beatles version, recorded in '67. Being discerning, they shelved it until UA needed some more tracks for Yellow Submarine. Presto! Out it came, as a throwaway, unworthy for a real Beatles LP.

Yes, but I like that song. It was a really fun upbeat number.

This is the first time I've been able to make all the way through...usually gone by now. But I must admit her voice really shines at the end, she gets with it and sounds great, loses that 'cutesy' crap. The brass section steps up to the plate as well. Now if only the beginning 80% was as good........
9, 10, 11, 12, put this song on the shelve
This one's wearing thin, started at an 8 now down to a 6.
I guess they didn't play that commercial as much around here. I still like the song.
include me out
Now I have to go buy another Ipod. Damn that Apple marketing machine!!!
Funny to hear Feist right after Ani Difranco. Folks complain about how unapproachable Ani's music is and then turn right around and gripe about Fiest being too commercial. What's up with that? IMO it's fun to have Ani (the ultimate in anti-commercial music) right next to something lighter but still good like Fiest. That's why I love RP.
12:07 pm - Feist - 1234 12:03 pm - The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger 11:59 am - Led Zeppelin - Ramble On 11:56 am - The Cure - Just Like Heaven 11:52 am - Thunderclap Newman - Something In The Air This is one of the great sets I've ever heard on RP, and I NEVER would have put these songs together to create such a great vibe. It just creates a great vibe where everything flows to create this energy that turns into just straight up rock with the Fratellis, and then adds JUST the right pop touch with Feist. Bill, you outdid yourself with this one.
I really like this song.
Pretty song. I bought the album and didn't care for the rest of it. Should've just gotten the track from iTunes, I guess.
Not a bad album. Picked it up for the playability of everything I've heard from it on RP, but it does have a couple of sore thumbs I tend to skip past.

On the one hand, I disagree to the extent that the rules are different if you're an artist. For artists, the expression you're hoping to achieve is hard to separate from the medium in which it is expressed, which is why artists often have firm standards for how they are presented and represented. If she turned down an offer from McDonald's, but accepted Apple's offer, that says something about the medium or context in which she wanted people viewing her work. Her music (and this song in particular) has nothing to do with selling bad "food." But in an iPod ad, regardless of how you feel about iPods and Apple, the context is very different, and very much connected to what musicians are about. People may differ as to whether Apple is helping or harming the music business, but at least the commercial presents this song in a musical/artistic context rather than in an Egg McMuffin context. Which is what I think you were getting at with the Exxon vs. Apple comparison. But on the other hand, I agree. Before the iPod ad, she was probably just another poor, talented, struggling artist, like so many. Who amongst us would turn down an offer like that? Even the McDonald's offer would be more temptation than most artists could endure. Hats off to those who can, though.
Enough!! Please bury this song 1, 2, 3, 4, feet deep!!
Loved the performance on the Junos - Leslie is an innovator. I love that in an artist. She experiments with sounds, textures, tone - all the elements of music are part of her palette. Brave, free, artist-musician. Nice place to be.
Personally...My favorite album of 2007. Like it all.

Sad, I liked this type before! Turned the radio down for this one. (I also now change the channel on the tv, or mute at a minimum.)

For...what? This tune is fun enough, but there's lots better music out there. But then, the Grammys don't usually seem to have much to do with great music, so maybe you're right. This one started fairly high with me, but I find I mentally drop it about 1/4 point each time I hear it. This one doesn't age well, and it's only a few months old.
"mmm-bop" was catchy too, but like this it got old fast.
