Well, you got the perfect disguise and you're looking okay (broke my back)
From the bottom of the best to the worst, well, what can I say (broke my back)

'Cause you cocked your head to shoot me down (broke my back)
And I don't give a damn about you or this town no more
No, but I know the score (broke my back)

Need me to fall down so you can climb up some fool ass ladder (broke my back)
Well, good luck, I hope, I hope there's something better up there (broke my back)

'Cause you cocked your head to shoot me down (broke my back)
And I don't give a damn about you or this town no more
No, 'cause I know the score

Broke my back
Broke my back
Broke my back

Nice!  Unlike the MM cd's I have.
This afternoon sounds like FM stations used to sound like in the middle of the night in the '60's.  No higher compliment could I offer.
Walking above the very surface - but nice
Love this song but I just listened to the album it came from, and the other tracks really don't have a lot going on. In fact, they blow.

Point being that once again RP knows what it is doing.

Oh dear.  Oh dear.  Oh dear!

Voice very similar to Adrian Borland´s of The Sound.
Song - 10
Album - 10 !!!!!!!!!!
This picture has Johnny Marr, he didn't join until around 2006 to 2008 time frame. MM is so good with and without Johnny.

Their BEST CD, Album, whatever...These guys are amazing, I can't think of a song I dislike or that doesn't move me in one way or another.  Sometimes I feel they are sharing a secret handshake.
i like this guy's voice.
Love that amplifier buzz in the background.
Best Modest Mouse album.
very inventive band. I just don't understand that hatred I see written about MM.
Love the atmosphere of this song.  CD is good, too.

This song had a lot of potential until the vocals started.

Cool... You guys are actually falling for this. We've been trying to get these guys out of our hair for years-- And out of our clubs! Now we can go back to booking Sleater-Kinney. Hey! where'd the Shins go? Who left the door open?

I disagree and love MM, but if this is "nothing special" to you, I really want to see your preferred play list... it must be a doozey.

a recent favorite of mine, many other good songs on this album - how did i not discover these guys sooner?
I can't believe this is the only song from The Moon and Antarctica on RP...gonna have to do something about this.
Just under 3 minutes of goodness. I like to juxtapose this song with 'Alone Down There' during casual listening. Flip sides of the same coin to me.
