Yes, that is some mean tabla play, also known as goblet drum. In Arabic, it's also widely known as darbuka. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goblet_drum

When DC shuts down, it really shuts down.  Probably over a million of us cannot go to work today.  Metro and buses not running.  Buildings closed.  As a contractor, I am still on the clock. Sposed to be working.  Oops.   Nice continuation of the hurricane set, which I'll post below in a sec.

This'll be Terry Hall from the Fun Boy 3? I wondered what happened to him. I'm not sure he goes right well on this number, which would be better without him - not that he's got a bad voice, just that it doesn't really fit in with the Middle Eastern feel. No' bad, though - 6 from the Nottingham jury.
