I am very happy to have discovered RP a few months ago. Global (or Eclectic) mix is so close to my music taste.  Was thrilled to hear the "thank you for listening" message in greek.

Hello from Athens, Greece

No Moby ;-P

It sounds like a blend of notes left over from other Moby tracks.

First thought. "Oh, someone remixed Streets Of Philadelphia"

Needed to program a bit of variation into that snare drum reverb, didn't he.
Always a sucker for Moby....
Thank you RP for sharing this awesome song.

Same transition today - but there's nothing wrong with Natalie Merchant. Beautiful song, too.

But this one here is much slower. And has no vocals. And another melody.

Filler track from a filler full of filler. Moby became very uninteresting at this time. His stuff up to  1995 has aged better than this stuff

Certainly sounds like it is part of the soundtrack with a Ravy Davy drum beat added.

Ha!  Just mixed my second Manhattan {#Yes}

Sex with Angelina Jolie would be mediocre after anything, she's horrible. I really don't see what all the fuss is about.
Quick note: the release year listed on the info page is incorrect. This album was released in 2002 (not 1994).

Please expand - how does poor rural culture in say, Maine, differ from that in (for example) Alabama? Was the Beans of Egypt drawn purely from fantasy?

Hey Buinessgypsy - just saw this now, after six years! My comment regarding poor rural culture was simply a matter of proliferance(in my experience) and maybe social cliche to boot.
Computer has soul.

Moby, take us away..
Love Southland Tales. One of the best movies ever, IMHO. Moby was used in the soundtrack, this being one of the pieces. Makes me smile. :)

No, thank you! We do not need Synthie-"Schlager"...
What MOBY has lost on RP...?
best day to listening......moby {#Motor}
I love me some Moby.

In Maine no tires buried to the hubcaps lining the driveway.

Listen the whole album as one piece, folks.

What passes for music for Moby is too lenient a term.  El tracks in Chicago make more music than that repetition ...

That's all?

Good enough to make me curious to hear more "Moby".

The intro made me believe it was Philadelphia of Bruce Springsteen... I was a little bit disappointed, although the song is not bad.

I have never used that word to describe anything. It brings to mind someone trying to get attention at the dinner table with a mouthful of applesauce. Ick.

'Streets of Philadelphia' , anyone?

8.

Haven't heard much Moby on RP in a while. Still good stuff. Mellow.

That, my friend, is way over the top.

Sorry, guys, but I really LIKE Moby...particularly "Play". "18" was good, but not as good as "Play". I haven't been real impressed with "Hotel". And the overall rating is 7.1, so it's apparent that most folks find it at least pleasing. You naysayers...could YOU make music even close to this? It's easy to criticize, until you've tried it... Just my 2 cents worth.

Hey, nice puffy coat. Looks like the Michelin man.

Yay, Moby. Way to use that Mac.
But the production is beautiful. Sounds very balanced to me. Great \"orchestration\".
This goes nowhere and does nothing for me...

Now this is the good stuff from 18!
Not bad, more like the Moby I\'ve grown to like.
