The destruction of the US by the "Make America Great" crowd is one of the colossal fuck ups in world history, which will be written over decades.
To save money, we stopped paying the electric bill, and are only now beginning to realize we were living on a respirator.
It's not even in isolation, it's just a lack of critical thinking. "why are we spending money in Panama?" - they can't even see the chain of events, now Texas cattle ranchers will suffer, which will cause all American beef consumers to suffer.
A bunch of people mad at government, even though government was making their lives better in demonstratable ways. Many are to arrogant to try an unwind the problem they created and will now suffer for it. The bad part is now we will all suffer along with them. And most will be mad that we didn't understand why they were mad to start with.

If Trump is seriously thinking about a permanent UFC arena on the White House south lawn, that just shows that he's really slipping and/or deluded about his power. This is not something he would have proposed in his first term.

From what I glean, that doesn't matter to his devotees. Don't go along with Bolton's proposal to attack Iran in the first term but. sure, attack them in the second. March down to Lafayette Square carrying a bible he borrowed from somewhere in the first term? No problem but need a bunker under a ballroom in the second.
What Trump has learned in the past 6 years is that noboby will hold him accountable. We've gone from Republicans supporting his removal on Jan 7, 8, 2021, to the pardoning of those "Patriots", to the idea that Trump would actually pay them. The payments finally met with some resistance. He can steal, grift, and collect kickbacks from anyone...globally. He can destroy our safety and health. Nobody holds him accountable because the elected Republicans everywhere are scared he's going to turn his two support groups against them: the ultra wealthy who fund elections, and the uneducated, angry mob of MAGA enthusiasts.
Turns our the only people who are willing to call him out right now and not enable his stupidity for personal gain are Iranian. They have him by the short ones... and he knows it.
Trump is saying everything possible to avoid talking about Iran...which he started in part to stop all of the Epstein talk. He knows that the longer he drags this on, the longer he can get paid, and eventually the public will just get tired of talking about it.
