Your 9 cent rate is only available from FirstEnergy, and it's generation only (not delivery or other fees).  The residential average in Ohio is $17.61 cents/kWh.  30 cents in CA is "all in".

It's also worth noting, this year, Ohio residents saw rate increases in the 10–15% range on average, while California residents experienced combined increases of 5–13%.

But hey... I'm sure you can cherry-pick some other items as proof prices are down.  Ignore the reality that foreclosures in October were 20% higher than they were last year.  People can't afford what they used to...without any inflation (mortgages don't change, and become cheaper over time as the cost of everything else goes up).

Final note... electric prices are up in a LOT of places because of the demands placed on IT/AI, and industries that use gas/fossil fuels have slowed with tariffs and uncertainty.

You can argue all you want... but America is generally experiencing constant, sometimes dramatic price increases... and the vast majority realize that Trump is solely to blame.

Hell... even Trump is now saying he may consider lowering some tariffs to help with prices.  Didn't he say they wouldn't increase costs, and that foreign corporations were paying the cost of tariffs?  Do they or don't they?
