Well this old trope you put here below is pretty disingenuous of you if you ask me. You know and I know it's not what you want it to be, but it didn't stop you from trotting it out one more time.
disingenuous is continuing to deny what we all saw. The call is coming from inside your house and you guys are answering.

It's about time.
That one worked, this one was limited. I'm not going to put much effort into it, but I think you do it intentionally do be a bigger gadfly, probably why you linger on the old platform.
And open borders, socialism and Nazi hunting is the hill you have chosen.
that's three hills.
islander to the rescue ! Three hills, yeah, I'm just getting my money's worth.

Wait, does he hate nazis, or does he hate jews? You see the obvious disconnect here... right?
What disconnect ? Hating Jews and Nazis are not mutually exclusive. You think otherwise ? Pray tell, please

I hope not. That's my gig. It's easy work, I'm not letting it go without a fight.

Well, sometimes they just announce themselves.
And I see that you have figured out how to respond to my posts finally.
Rob Reiner was a phenomenal person and creator of life changing art and activism, when we (mom, dad and six kids) watched All in the Family back in the 70's sometimes I wasn't sure which character to side with, Archie was an awful lot like my pole-climbing telephone man dad and Meathead was just like the college guys we had buy beer for us 17 year olds at the distributor! One of those guys (Terry L. : ) came to the field where we hung out pushing a guy in a wheelchair, it was Ron Kovic a wounded Vietnam vet who had just published Born on the Fourth of July. He told us parts of the war story the newspapers avoided, stories about the draft and service for Uncle Sam, stories about coming home disabled and treated like a dog in the pound. Stories that clarified parts of the Meathead's world view in ways eloquently put forth by Mr. Reiner, he and Carrol O'Connor made episodes close to the shouting matches we had at the dinner table! That Archie Bunker stereotype was brilliantly presented to us by Norman Lear and maybe several left-leaning writers as well as the phenomenal cast at a critical time in US history. Our current occupant of the oval office is in too many ways reminiscent of the rotten war mongers Mr. Kovic experienced though he may agree with me Rump is the lowest piece of crud ever. US history will remember the positive contributions of Rob Reiner, in film and empathic consideration for many. US history will remember Rump as the convicted fraud, racist, rapist dim-witted puppet of Putin, he is the worst president ever. Who supports the worst? Greedy corporate types, racists and misogynists.
Or let's not. A) because adults change their beliefs when evidence warrants it. and B) some of the stuff he's defended lately would have been criminal if Biden or Obama had done it. Nevermind the actual criminal stuff Trump's done, Kurt's beliefs flutter in the breeze.
He has chosen the hill he will die on; that hill is an embarrassment to humanity.
And open borders, socialism and Nazi hunting is the hill you have chosen.
The thing about Nazi's is you don't know one when you see one.
You think that anyone who doesn't have your world view is one and your last little thing using Anne Frank was one of the worst things you have ever posted. You diminish what real Nazi's were and besmirch her legacy and the Holocaust and all the people who perished as a result. All the stuff you post inspires people to do crazy and bad things like what just happened in Australia.
As best I can tell, you hate Jews on top of everything else with your open support of Hamas and their policies. Hating Jews is cool again, isn't it ?
What amazes me even more is the unconditional support that your views have here. Kinda scary, imo.
Lastly, how does one engage meaningfully with someone whose primary means of communication is posting memes ?

let's give him props to sticking to what he believes

I think Kurt has a strong idea of what America should look like and how it should act. I'm pretty sure that he values the same basic goals that most Americans have. He differs from many of us on his take of how to achieve those goals. Like many Americans, Kurt is frustrated by the deadlock in Washington and the difficulties federal programs have had in addressing our problems, so likes a person like Trump who prides himself on smashing conventions and established practices to get things done.
I'm guessing, really. I don't know Kurt all that well. But let's give him props to sticking to what he believes and posting about it despite all the insults he gets in doing so. I do wish, however, he showed more compassion to the people who've been hurt by Trump's actions and policies.
And, personally, Iâd rather talk about trump (if at all) than use this forum to attack one of the posters.
True, I do wonder how the lying rapist felonâs actions are seen as positive by anyone, but that shouldnât (IMO) turn into another piece of kindling to start in one of our RPers.

Agreed.
The one thing that you noted (bold) that I can't get my arms around is "getting things done". Trump hasn't built anything other than a deportation system and 1/4 of a wall. Destroying things is easy... establishing something is hard, and takes negotiation, concessions, and inclusion...things Trump hates. Suggesting the NIH is bloated, inefficient, etc. is fine.... but destroying it and replacing it with quacks and conspiracy theorists isn't "building" anything. The IRS is decimated. That's not improvement, it's intentionally weakening a necessary function of government that Trump doesn't like. Every fix is going to be better... amazing....and announced in two weeks. It's so predicable that it's no longer funny.
Those are they types of things that Kurt's opinions are interesting, but not frequently shared. There is never an admission that something blessed by Trump isn't working.
I'm honestly intrigued by Kurt's ability / willingness / cluelessness... whatever it is... to stay the course. I wish we weren't here (politically), but there is something fascinating about a group of people who are so focused on outward displays of patriotism but hate nearly all Americans.
It's ming-boggling that he can ignore the realities and not break from the tribe. Trump is an economic and political disaster that will take decades to recover from, all while running around talking about the "Golden Age of America"? It's pathologically stupid... but he never breaks ranks. The "how will Kurt defend this..." questions are fun because they happen when it's just so obvious that Trump is wrong that it's not even open for debate. Kurt knows that...so he won't debate... but he's not gonna surrender:
"I'll answer your question when you defend all the things you said that were wrong".
If he's not here for the conversation...he's here to troll.
All of that said... I think most people here like Kurt. That's what makes it all the more frustrating, perplexing, surprising.
I read last nights exchange, and it just seems silly to keep asking him for opinions on things he's not going to admit. He may know you're right, but he's never going to tell you.

Well there's a nice surprise! Truly out of character for you to say anything to rebuke the president, even when he's being particularly repugnant. But here you have surprised us all and staked out a position that's truly your own, consequences be damned. It's refreshing to see you go against the tide and finally take a strong, clear stand that says the president's post today was beyond the pale. Good job! We're all proud of you.
rump's supporters and apologists are obviously racists, misogynists and often unintelligent vindictive creeps. Some actually know rump's limits and his disgusting spews but refuse to accept their ownership of all his slimy vile phlegm but go searching for excuses for it, they're so deeply packed up their fuhrer's ass they are following the dim light of hate in rumpy's Alzheimer head. Pathetic flag waving gun toting scumbags.
The tripe he spews will never change, so is there really any reason to engage him at all? Asking for a friend....

The posts last night reinforce a few known rules of engagement that I suggest we collectively stop using electricity to store on RP servers. - Calling out Kurt by name to defend Trump for what is commonly accepted as aggressive, hostile, combative, divisive, inflammatory, polarizing, toxic, misleading, false, deceptive, insulting, demeaning, degrading, defamatory, bullying, harassing, impulsive, childish, petty, vindictive, hyperbolic, alarmist, fearâmongering, narcissistic, selfâaggrandizing, profiteering, egocentric, antiâdemocratic, or authoritarianâleaning comments or social media posting will be ignored, or... - When engaging, Kurt will respond by deflecting to sleepy Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, the “deep state,” the “radical left,” Democrats, RINOs, crooked Hillary Clinton, fake news media, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Hunter Biden's laptop, Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, the FBI, the DOJ, Jack Smith, Fani Willis, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, election hoax perpetrators, the Russia hoax, the Ukraine hoax, the impeachments hoax, witch hunts, January 6 hoax, Big Tech censors, George Soros, federal judges who rule against him, universities pushing “woke” agendas, environmental activists, pro-Palestinian groups, and disloyal civil servants. You'll know when he's been trapped by his own "logic", as you'll either be told in some form to go fuck yourself... or the responses will stop. For the sake of all engaging in conversation here, it's probably best to accept that awareness and admission are not coming, and to not expect anything different to the "wonder how Kurt will defend this asshole" taunts.
