Looks like Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaert is opting out his remaining 3 years to test the free agent market. Another inept front office decision where we will lose another top player.

There is some Met rumoring already on Turner.  The Phillies did not pick up Gene Segura's option, so maybe they'll go shopping again and move Bryson Stott to 2nd.

The Astros were 11 and 2 during the postseason. In the series they hit just enough but that bullpen in my mind should have gotten the MVP trophy. It really was hopeless if the Phillies didn't jump out to a lead early.

Where do you think Judge will end up?

Judge is older than the recent "big" contract folks.  Juan Soto is 24.  Fernando Tatis Jr. is 23.    Judge is a peer of Bryce Harper and Mike Trout, who are now 5 years into their "big" deals.  Aaron is a bit late.   San Francisco is a place I've heard, because they are fighting LA and SD in the NL West, and don't have any "names" with the retirement of Buster Posey. He's now the face of the Yankees...and I think they are likely to pay more than others.  It may take a while, but I think he stays in NY.

He is older but could probably DH for many, many years to come. The Yankees really need to sign him I think. After the season he had it would be mistake to let him get away. I hope they do the right thing.{#Meditate}

Having been a Yankee fan since they used to come on TV every Saturday with Dizzy Dean calling the game and PeeWee Reese handling the color...I met Bobby Richardson in 2003 or so and was too awestruck to hardly speak when he said I was too young to remember him play...I wish I had told him yeah, I don't remember Moose at first, Elston or Yogi behind the plate, Clete at third, Tony and Tom at short, him at second, Roger in right, Mickey in center, and Doc or Yogi in left.  I truly wish I had because I knew...Anyway I relate this tale of dumbassery to prove I am a true Yankee fan but when my home state team became an American league team things got weird. Houston continued to suck but I had always stuck right with them hoping next year would be the year while the Yankees continued to win until the Astros organization put together the teams that led to the team we have today. When the two meet I have the best of both worlds but root for the home team of course.

Go Yankees, except against the Astros!{#War}

The Yankees can't let him go. Not just yet anyway after hitting  62 homeruns.

I don't think I've ever seen a bullpen dominate the way the Astro's bullpen did in this series. Offense did just enough and the defense made the big play when they needed it but the pitching was superlative...The starters all went five plus innings, even those that ran into early trouble except one, and then that bullpen was almost unhittable. I know that this team may never play up to this level again and they may never win another title but this ride from three straight years of 100 plus losses to where they are today is amazing. Four of six WS and to actually win that second championships...Say what you will about the Astros but there is no denying that they play for a love of the game and they play the game very well. They are truly a team where everyone contributed in some way in the series...Some with a base hit, a run scored, a great catch, getting hit in the elbow guard, or hitting the ball 450 feet to dead center, everyone Dusty played did something positive. After those two catches it almost seemed fate was on the Astros side as well.

It was an entertaining World Series.

I was rooting for the Phillies, but happy to see Dusty get a World Series ring.

WOW! A No Hitter, took 4 pitchers to do it, but only took Don Larsen in the first one.

Combined no-hitters are probably less common than real ones, but fall in the WGAS category. It just means the Phillies had some sort of collective head trauma that made them swing at balls and look at strikes.

Kind of like giving up five homers in one game, I guess.
Congrats to the Phillies fans for a fine season.{#Cheers}

Both teams had a TON of traffic all night; the fact that it ended 3-2 is amazing. I'd say it was some great pitching but it was amazing luck many times that there weren't any/2/3 grand slams. A game like that is just uncomfortable for both teams because they know it could have been a blowout for either team. It just went the wrong way.
 to Game 7!

It was a great game. Has to be deflating for Phillies.

If Mancini does not field that scorcher from Schwarber down the line at first base in the bottom of the 8th, or McCormick does not snare high up the wall that Realmuto drive in the bottom of the 9th . . .
