And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation – some face of my life – unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by mistake. Unless I accept life completely on life’s terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and my attitudes.

Of course wet wood will burn if it's wet with gasoline...

I think this is fascinating, but linguists and people who study hermeneutics have noticed that there is sort of a pattern to the way people of a common tongue identify colors and give them a word.  That's what's interesting to me about the Illiad and the Odyssey is that though these are incredibly brilliant works of literature.  The society that wrote them didn't have a word for the color blue.

Language and the way we use it, is kind of an insight into the human mind.  I think that's fascinating.

Women will be pursued over state lines for attempting to receive miscarriage and crisis pregnancy care ... or die trying.

Study Viktor Orban's rise to power over what was once a democratic Hungary. There will be no more elections.

Geez, we couldn't even make it 250 years.
