Powdered water was even worse. Very little shelf life, and it tended to cause rust when it came into contact with metal utensils.

Boy Scouts with too much time on their hands are the world's biggest pyromaniacs. I speak from long-ago personal experience.

Looks like powdered milk is still around. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they could keep some fats in it, but it was like drinking cloudy water.

Red_Dragon, I wholeheartedly agree with your shock/horror/disgust/anger/head-shaking disbelief but you are going to break the Interwebs if you keep re-posting all of Trump's insanities.

By any chance, have you and Lazarus met?

Nightmarish flashbacks to the times when my mom tried to stretch the food budget a bit more by buying powdered milk. "Pretend milk" indeed...a perfect metaphor for the ersatz, culturally exhausted 70s.

Scott, I hope you didn't torture Charlie that way: kids have long memories.

{#Lol}  WTF indeed?  What sort of dealer of vintage toys wouldn't test out the "drinking/milking feature"?  You're also supposed to clean it before offering it for sale, unless you're selling it for $2.00.
