Since you and a few others post Trump supportive posts here, it's not "only" peeps who hate Trump. There's both sides. It's just that, like our nation, more people didn't want him than did.
And that's OK. It's not true that it has to be 50/50 pro/against.

The honest truth, without political spin, is that more people voted against Trump than for him.

How they get out of bed? The other option is to acquiesce, which is what Trump folks keep suggesting. "Shh, now. Nothing but dreams."
Instead, we're likely to see folks rise up to prevent the loss of their rights. Electing Trump will galvanize a dormant society into speaking out. You're going to hear a LOT more posts by people who refuse to be "devastated."

Not really.  My last post in here was nearly two weeks ago.  You could click on that or scroll back to it.  And until buddy's thought was raised, tell me how many pro Trump posts or posters you see in here since my last post.  I din't see a one.

I have given up all hope of any rational thought or discussion on him at any level here at RP.   Tis why I quit posting in here and mostly anything political here.  Why voluntarily get tarred and feathered ?  I call out those who can't handle Trump's election and refuse to see it as legal as crybabies and get tagged for name calling.  Calling those who call me a nazi, racist and worse, crybabies and getting called out for that ?  I don't see anyone calling them out out for anything.

But I don't give a rat's ass anymore.

This is nothing but an anti Trump echo chamber in here and it has bothered someone enough who is anti Trump themselves to complain about it at some level.

That's how I see it.  Its going to be a long 4 to 8 years and I expect long lines of jumpers forming at the Golden Gate.  All the promises to leave the country by Trump haters is nothing but empty bullshit as usual.  Poseurs.

like other political threads this place has some partisan silliness

and considering all of the media conditioning it's about what you'd expect (i think)

don't let that dissuade you

the venting/steam will eventually subside and be replaced with legitimate discussion

we hope {#Lol}

happy new year {#Cheers}

Let's talk more about the idea of the financial viability of the County Healthcare system, the Workman's Comp system, and the VA Healthcare system. They're all money-sucking inefficient organizations.
And, Trump wants to take care of the Vets (as do we all). But he'd love to make a show of it.

If we approach a national healthcare system as a cost effective thing: it would immediately make the VA/Worker's Comp/County care all irrelevant AND no longer a taxpayer burden. Those funds could instead be part of the cost mitigation of fully insuring the nation. Call it TrumpCare, IDAF.

We appeal to the dealmaker, and the egomaniac, while actually improving the nation. When someone is severely ill, they aren't forced to keep working while on chemo just to retain their health insurance. Our Vets can get high quality care, without being sequestered into the inefficient VA system. We stop pouring money into the County ED system where they're merely providing clinic care to the uninsured -at an extraordinary cost to taxpayers.

It's conceivable that repealing Obamacare, and replacing it with a real national healthcare, could be a rational legacy for the Cheeto-in-Chief.

Here's the thing. Even if you believe in Reaganomics  (which I don't) it is guaranteed to become less effective the more you push it. You can't reduce the tax rate below 0 so they are running out of tax to cut. Supply side economics still needs demand to work, and yo u can't sustain demand when you are reducing real income for the lower and middle classes.

The best way to increase investment is to do what Australia does and require employers to put 10% of employees salary into the employee's SuperFund (similar to a 401 K). That's a lot of investment and a lot of long-term security for workers. However, you also need to manage the economy for stability so that people don't get screwed by the business class inducing and taking advantage of extreme fluctuations.
