drew peterson, the notorious local ex cop whose 4 previous wives have all either been murdered or have disappeared, is engaged.
his last wife is still missing. how does he plan to get married to #5, divorce the one who is missing? doesn't she have to physically show up to sign something?
and, while he keeps getting older (and, in my opinion, uglier), the wives have all been very young. this next one is 23.
my questions....is she STUPID? and WHERE THE HELL ARE HER PARENTS?
Did Coldplay plagiarize Joe Satriani? He's suing the band. This video is pretty cool, really.
Nah. Coldplay's stuff is pretty formulaic. Has a totally different feel to the combinations to me. Satriani is similar, but sounds like coincidence. Or the collective unconcious. Can always blame that.
BTW, I love that Coldplay song. And better yet, I saw them perform it on SNL, so I've got these great images of the way-over-the-top-artsy-nutso Chris Martin in my head. Mmm. I really want to hear that song now. And I have no interest in the Satriani song.

I'm not sure how far you can go with this one. Its a fairly well worn place to get chords from - I'm sure other songs have those in - and the tune isn't very complex. So they can argue convergence if they want.

Niiiice. My local radio station played this as a quiz just this morning. The DJ (Dave Morey, the greatest) just played the Satriani lick and asked callers to figure out what was going on. The first guy got it and said Joe's definitely got a case — "worse than George Harrison" he said. I'd have to agree. Do you know if the songs are really in the same key, or did they do some pitch shifting to make that video?
I don't know. This video is my only exposure to the Satriani song.
