I think the whole philosophy of metal is contraindicated to the Grammys anyway and I think most metalheads (which I am most certainly not) would probably agree.

I haven't watched either in many years also. They are both great unwashed clear channel commercial crap shows. Though I heard Bon Iver won something, widespread digital music and college radio are helping to educate the great unwashed and some good music is starting to be recognized here and there.
