I know that there are more than a couple of Friends of Bill W here and that a lot of meetings are not being held as usual during this time of Social Distancing (SD). My wife, a long time Friend is down to only two of her regular usual meetings that she might attend still being held and that attendance is less than half as normal.
I remembered last night that when she first moved out here and was finding her way around she went to meetings on line. It really did help her bridge the gap during her transition to learning about her new world her in Cleveburg. She met and made a lot of friends from around the world during her participation there nearly 20 years ago. One woman she became friends with in Tasmania sent her a little care package that contained our first taste of Tim Tams.
But anyway, maybe some here may find it helpful to keep the one day at a time thing going in these most trying of times.
Pardon me if I'm going where I shouldn't or mentioning something already well known to y'all.
What a lovely message Kurt. I worry my own self all the time. Been to the bottom of many a bottle. Easier to stay sober now that it's all about another sickness. Many types of sick, eh? Sick in the head? Sick in the gut? Sick in the heart? Sickos we all are. But to what extent? Money can't buy you health or happiness, trust me on this fact.
Got Netfix? Watch King of Cats. I was mesmerized. Plenty of Floridians in that fascinating docuseries. You'll love the way it opens. Listen closely. BIG CAT FOLKS ARE THE CRAZIEST. It bothers me, as it will you too no doubt, that nearly double the number of big cats live in captivity as do in the wild. But no, they can't simply be let loose.
