Harris is tasked with overseeing diplomatic efforts to deal with issues spurring migration in the Northern Triangle countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, as well as pressing them to strengthen enforcement on their own borders, administration officials said. 118TH CONGRESS 1ST SESSION H. RES. 253
RESOLUTION Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that Vice President Kamala Harris should be removed from her position as the head of the Biden administrationâs strategy to address the root causes of migration.
Whereas, on March 24, 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris was named ââBorder Czarââ in charge of leading efforts to stem migration across the United States-Mexico border;

AP story at time, March 24, 2021:

Yes and that attack line (the Republicans already are using) is that she is the âborder czarâ in the Biden administration â which obviously is not true, as these articles explain.
Please. Do you need a translator for the lines Biden uttered?
but i've asked her the vp
today because she's the most qualified
person to do it to lead our efforts
with mexico and the northern triangle
and the countries uh that help us
we're going to need help in stemming the
movement of so many folks
stemming the migration to our southern
border

Oh alright, I'll tell you. They're trying to rehabilitate her image and blunt an obvious attack line that the R's will use.

The lede from the WSJ article that I cannot fully access:
Even before Kamala Harris became the Democratsâ likely challenger to Donald Trump, Republicans have used her immigration portfolio as a line of attack against herâcalling her President Bidenâs âborder czar.â But Harrisâs task, assigned to her in 2021 by Biden, was actually much narrower.
Try reading them. The Vox article, and others like it, also report her shortcomings on what was assigned to her. There also is one from the Wall Street Journal that I cannot fully access because I lack a subscription.

I was more thinking about things like her accomplishments such as Border Czar, which was her primary duty given her as Veep.
A vote for Harris is a loud approval of her job opening up our border for the subsequent invasion of over 10 million illegals into the country.
All those invaders are on Harris.
WASHINGTON â Senate Democrats failed to advance a bipartisan border security bill in May, with nearly every Republican voting to filibuster it as Donald Trump wields border chaos as a centerpiece of his campaign. The compromise bill was crafted to reduce border crossings, raise the standard for migrants to qualify for asylum and empower officials to rapidly send away those who fail to meet that standard. It would provide more funding for faster processing and more Border Agents. It would give the president power to shut down the border if migration levels exceed certain thresholds.
On the brink of its release earlier this year, Lankford told NBC News it was âby far the most Conservative border security bill in four decades.â Police and Border Patrol were enthusiastic about it.
âThis commonsense bill would have pushed back on the Biden Administrationâs failed border policies by forcing the President to shut down the border, strengthen our asylum laws, and end catch and release. It is shameful that Mitch McConnell and D.C. politicians would rather keep the border as a political talking point than actually fix the problem," Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., said in a statement. So the Republican faithful comply with endemic Alzheimers:
Ignore, deflect, redirect and blame. someone. else. CONGRESS is in charge of legislation regarding International Borders. Not Vice Presidents. She was sent to gather data, not wave a wand and fix it with empty hands and pockets.
April 2014: "I would build a border like nobody's seen before."
June 2015: "I will make Mexico pay for that wall."
August 2015: It will have a "very big, beautiful door"
October 2015: "Now, it's 2,000 miles (of border) of which we really need 1,000 miles because you have a lot of natural barriers" 650 miles exist when said.
January 2017: He orders "a contiguous, physical wall" (or similar barrier).
July 2017 "We need about 800 miles of wall"
July 2017: Mexico will "absolutely" pay (said with the Mexican president sitting next to him).
April 2017: The wall will cost $21.6 billion
January 2018: He'll build it for even less than that, and it will be completed in a year
May 2018: "We need about 700 miles of wall... and we're getting it"
January 2019: No wall, renewed talk of Mexico paying
February 2019: Trump declares a national emergency (taking $3.8 billion from the Pentagon budget)
July 2020: âWe are going to do about 537 miles altogether. And it will give a complete, beautiful wall on our southern border thatâs really helped.â
August 2020: "Almost complete"
15 billion dollars. 4 years as POTUS, including 2 with both houses of Congress fully Republican. 406 miles of existing wall replaced. 52 new miles of wall. Trump secured 2.6% of the border in 4 years.
This was his BIG issue in 2016... and you want to blame the next VP for his complete failure to deliver on his biggest agenda item?
Then he torpedos the immigration bill earlier this year. As you point out, it wasn't perfect, but it was drawn up and supported by Republicans. It would have been progress. Trump kills it not because it's bad, but because he needs to keep you anxious about the "invasion", and doesn't dare give Biden a win.
As Mark Twain said... âLet us be thankful for fools. But for them, the rest of us could not succeed.â
Donald Trump is eternally grateful you're here Kurt. This time... after you support him again, he's gonna do something.

Right, just like a vote for Trump would be a loud approval of someone who: continues to divide the nation over repeated election lies, stoked a failed insurrection and orchestrated actions in an attempt to illegally hold onto the office of President all while subverting the Constitution in the process.
Yep. If she can stay quiet. Somewhere / sometime she will be challenged to defend her record. How she handles that will be interesting. And how the legacy media covers for her as it did Biden will be interesting as well.
If only her opponent was challenged by his supporters to defend his record.
