Can I make one suggestion/request though?

Where there used to be a static piece of album art, there's now a ken-burnsian slowly moving image. This is really distracting to me (and I'm sure many other people) who like to keep the RP window open while working so we can check in on interesting songs. The motion constantly draws my eye, so I have to hide or cover the window, and I feel less in touch with the music I'm listening to. Anything that moves constantly can cause problems for some people.

I tried "hide slideshow" but that didn't seem to do anything.

I also tried the list view but that has animated headphones and doesn't show nearly as much info.

It would be lovely to have a way to disable the constant motion in that area of the screen so that it's possible to keep the RP window showing all the time while listening.

I just want to say that after using the new the player for a few days and after stabbing around and figuring out where things are, it's good. I had to figure out that the way to see the album cover that was no longer at the top of the page was to click the word 'album'. duh. I got used to the floating photos at the top of the page pretty quickly. Good stuff. There are layers to go through, clicking gets you to interesting places, like seeing what songs you 'voted for' on any given album and being able to clear or change the ratings, which to me is important because I like to use the 'My Favorites' channel. So to me, once I figured things out, this new player really is a change for the better.  

I can't hardly believe I missed the logo contest...

Just noticed the new design. I like it. One feature request - I want a deep link to "Play the mellow mix". I often play this while I work and every time and if we add up all the mouseclicks I could have saved by having a mellow link I would have at least 1/4 mouse button worth!

If we could see the number of our song rating; rather than just the color, that would be great. For whatever reason, on my monitor anyway, the color of the heart looks a touch different than the color bars in the 1-10 column.

I'm with The_Enemy, having a way to remove the slideshow would be great.

Bit of a surprise when I tuned in yesterday.  But change is (can be) good.  Have to train myself to yell 'Go William!' during a natty segue session.  WooHoo!

Miss the ability to add columns to the info view (using Firefox app on linux PC).  Saw reference to caret (shift 6?) but not working.

Is there a way to get the old player back? I find the new not quite as nice as the previous version.
Some problems with the new one:

1. Slideshow replaced album art. The slideshow is distracting and wasteful, constantly fetching images in the background.
2. Page content does not use the whole width of the browser window. This causes everything to be really narrow and squashed.
3. Grey-on-grey text is hard to read. The blue links in the Wikipedia section are especially bad.
4. No scrollbars?
