Hi, loving RP, but I too really miss The Groovy Mix!! Hoping it comes back soon, the way it was programmed worked just fine for me... Too much straight rock in the Main mix, and the Mellow mix gets a little dull after a while. I listen to RP for the cool and edgy tracks I canât hear anywhere else...
We just don't have the time available to properly program the Rock & Groovy channels and bring them up to RP standards. Rather than continue to offer something that is â in our opinion â too repetitive and lacking in creativity, we have decided to pull those two channels, at least temporarily.
After listening to RP for a couple months, I decided to contribute during your fundraiser only to tune in the following day to find the Groovy channel gone. Great. I finally found a site that plays something that really appeals to me and it's gone. Now I just feel cheated.

You've come a long way over the years, which being in the advanced tech for mobile business I know takes a lot of inspired effort & patience, with input from your customers all along the way. I find the RP mobile app to be one of the best out there, use it daily at my desk, in my car, connected to my backyard blue tooth speakers, wherever. The rock & groovy mixes were cool, but I have to say I toggle between the main, mellow, & my favorite mixes most of the time.
As a monthly contributing member since 2005, I've been a grateful listener all these years & will continue as long as it's still here. As I believe I'm the same age as you by a month, I'm just hoping you don't retire too soon LOL.
Keep on doing the magic that you & Rebecca do, I'll keep listening & contributing. Where else am I going to happen upon a playlist that includes Patti Smith, Willie Nelson, Ima Robot, and Van Morrison in a row?
