The only part that's correct is the immense bureacracy and lack of democracy of the European Union.
The other things are mostly incorrect.
1. The story of the fishermen. It's brought like the other european countries stole the fish and the fishing grounds. It's not true. Without regulation the european fishing industry including the UK would fail because of low priced fish from other parts of the world and empty seas around the UK. In fact there would be less fishermen in the UK without the EU.
2. The story of the protected industries for consumer goods. It's completely BS. If you want to find european products in my country you will have a hard time. I think 95% of the products sold in the Netherlands are from Asia. Because they are cheap. The european products I own are bought because of the innovative nature and it's quality. That's the only way to stand out in the crowd for Europe these days.
That's the fact that there are that many german cars in the UK. Not because of european laws, but because of quality. And the UK is not the biggest market by far for german cars. That's another lie. China is much much bigger. Why China? Because they like the quality too.
3. The agricultural industries in the UK (as in Europe) are not competative compared to the other big producers. Partly because of higher standards regarding food quality. Party because of higher standards in giving the animals a fair live. I want that. I want to pay more for good quality food and knowing that the animals had a fairly good live.

I think without market regulation the UK will be in shock regarding the old industries. From my european point of view the UK is one of the biggest examples of government regulated markets to keep certain industries up and running. Agriculture will be demolished and after a while rebuild on a much more industrial scale like the farms in Canada or Australia. Do you want that?

But the lack of democracy would be enough for me to say NO to the EU. Despite all the 'UK is the greatest and we don't need the EU'-propaganda.

Europe migrant crisis: EU faces 'populist uprising'

Europe faces a "populist uprising" if it is unable to show people it can control the migrant crisis, former MI6 head Sir Richard Dearlove has said.

He was speaking on the BBC's World on the Move day on migration issues.

Sir Richard also warned against offering visa-free travel to Turkish nationals, describing the move as like storing gasoline near a fire.

Sir Richard said the numbers of immigrants coming into Europe over the next five years could run into millions.

The crisis could reshape the continent's geopolitical landscape, he said.

"If Europe cannot act together to persuade a significant majority of its citizens that it can gain control of its migratory crisis then the EU will find itself at the mercy of a populist uprising, which is already stirring," he added.

He described the UK referendum on leaving the EU as "the first roll of the dice in a bigger geopolitical game".

Talks between the Turkey and the EU over the deal have currently stalled over the former's refusal to amend its anti-terror laws.

The former head of MI6, which gathers intelligence abroad for the UK government, said €1.8bn (£1.4bn) allocated by the EU to address the root causes of migration in Africa made "much more sense" than a deal with Turkey but was not nearly enough.

The only answer was a "massive response" of this kind combined with a "much more aggressive operation along the North African coast", he added.

I know you likely presume that it is ill-informed propaganda but please take a quick look at the excellent Brexit movie a few posts back. It may surprise you.

On the more global and longterm picture we are not doing that well compared to the US or Asia.
Also I am worried because of the unprecedented spending by the EU central bank and the enormous debt we are fighting against.
I don't have the time to go in detail but the picture is not that bright.

That's fairly Trump-like in it's vague foreboding.

The EU is running a mild trade surplus as a whole, with most of its trade being internal—kind of what the architects of EU trade policy had in mind with their protectionist "fortress Europe" approach. Wouldn't mind seeing some of those trade barriers fall but overall I'm not seeing a crisis here.

Ah, that changes everything. The Germans just get the economy.

The EU bureaucrats needed to get that powerhouse Greece out of the way and rid the world of Italian auto manufacturing* so they could implement their fiendish plan.

My mistake.

And the article is perfectly correct: Boris Johnson did say those things. But that's it—he has no supporting evidence for his charge. He sees a conspiracy led by..."the Germans."

So the nation responsible for bailing out and propping up the weak economies of Europe (at great expense) is conspiring to...weaken those economies. Right.

Has anybody warned "the Germans"? Perhaps what is needed is a new wave of German nationalism to counter this internationalist takeover—because that worked so well last time.
