Trapped in an oppressive regime of free healthcare, low gun crime, brutally beautiful weather and suffocating open space, we have nowhere else to turn.
We are suffering. Our minimum wages, like our vaccination rates, are ominously high. Our standard of living sits dangerously amongst the highest in the world. Our schools lack even the most basic metal detectors.
Now if that is not a rationale for invasion and occupation, I don't know what is.
Hurry. My physical therapist is anxious to see more of your work. Monday it'll be the giant spider (is that yours or Manbirds?). He double dog dared me. Last Thursday was ETAION SHRDLU. He loves Drop Bear (Look Up and Live!) best so far. And Be The Llama is second best. He was seriously amused by the Bin Chickens.
Well I was just going to correct the bin chicken shirt away from Adelaide and to not-rugby to make it more appealing/accurate.
My laptop has died so I'm sort of limping along by logging into the office computer from home, so new stuff isn't happening very fast.

Okay so this shirt has sold a few more outside of the RP-associated group (thanks everyone)... how would you write it? Sydney? Some more-funny suburb? Football? Club?
Hmm, not sure I have any great ideas. Maybe the Bondi Beach Volley Ball Bin Chickens?
I checked and Adelaide is on the edge of the Australian white ibis range, so you just squeaked in. I was getting set to compare you to those Asian companies who do bad translations of American culture.
Never mind that Adelaide is an Australian Rules Football town. Their team is the Crows so I suppose an ibis would be a good match for rugby. Rugby League, not Rugby Union, of course.

No Melbourne is not a ghost town in spite of what carefully edited videos indicate. But people are pretty giddy with excitement about getting through the lockdowns (that got things back very close to normal with 0 cases in the country until New South Wales stuffed it up letting delta get established). So we roll with it and adjust the strategy. Reached 70% fully vaxed yesterday with an estimate of 80% by November 4. Unfortunately case numbers are growing where I live because of fuckwits.

I've been receiving my regular fortnightly airmail parcels of watch parts from the UK.
Usually takes about 10 TO 14 days , the longest delay in the journey being the clearance thru the new customs center in Sydney and then on to Perth, W.A. by road.
But have had two parcels take many weeks to arrive .One was sent to Austria and not to Australia and another ended up being tracked to N.Z. Why ? who knows.
Both returned to UK sender marked 'FAILED to DELIVER'
Just in at discogs. It isn't only the USA anymore.

Effective immediately, parcel and packet services transported by air to Australia and New Zealand are suspended until further notice. Border closures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic have severely restricted flight capacity to Australia and New Zealand. As a result, the following services are suspended:
XpresspostTMâInternational
Tracked PacketTMâInternational
Small PacketâInternational Air.
Canada Post will continue to accept and deliver to these destinations using the following surface services. Surface delivery may take up to twelve (12) weeks:
International ParcelâSurface
Small PacketâInternational Surface
That's interesting because I don't think the rules for air transport into Australia have changed in the last year. As I noted in a previous post, there has been a large backlog in deliveries within Australia, to the point where they suspended accepting parcels within the country for a week to clear the backlog.
It seems there were issues in Sydney due to their lockdowns that have just been lifted. It's hard to tell because the federal government is pretty secretive when it comes to bad news but there may have been flight restrictions that are flying under the radar, so to speak, because delta got into the country via an infected air crew. But currently they are saying that all restrictions will be removed by around Christmas, although the federal government can't seem to get their act together to plan the implementation.
There is a global disinformation campaign that has ramped up to portray Australia's covid response as anti-liberty. I believe this is not only to try and shape policy in Australia but to shape it in the rest of the world into a "let 'er rip" policy that will kill hundreds of thousands of people instead of accepting any role of government in actually managing the public health response. I feel a need to speak up to do the little I can to counteract that.
SirD is a lost cause, I'm more concerned about anyone else who might be reading this.
Outside the forum participants, probably virtually no one. But, I hear you.

The strange thing is that one could argue that this is a great leap forward in breaking down the iron curtain around our border. See, no police state if you just keep citizens from returning. Problem solved as far as our right-wing prime minister was concerned. The man who refused to fund quarantine facilities so that the few people who could fly in would be able to move around a bit, get some fresh air, not be stuck in a single room for 2 weeks, and not catch covid from the crappy ventilation system in a hotel that isn't fit for purpose. You know like the successful one in your previous video.
So sure, any reasonable solution is going to upset some people. Imagine getting to stay at home for the minor inconvenience of getting phone calls now and then and sending a photo. Truly a first world problem. But you all keep on taking off your shoes to get on an airplane
Thank you for the enlightenment. Oh and do not concern yourself with my flying to Australia. The real issue is I don't want Australia coming here, but fear it is on the way. At this point there is nothing that we have to discuss, I just have to oppose you and those that think like you by any non violent means necessary and pray that is enough. I thank you all for your viewpoints. I know the score and futility of commenting on any further topics other than music in this forum. I sincerely wish all of you the best because unfortunately we are all in this together whether we like it or not. I just hope that it is not too late for us all before you finally see the forest for the trees.
