Time to hibernate Saturday, poke my head up on Sunday. 😂

And if I don’t do anything until Wednesday - Friday when it gets up to 55° I won’t have to shovel. {#Roflol}

Welcome to New England. If you don’t like the weather just wait 10 minutes. {#Yes}

Sometimes I use the leaf removal method. Throw a tarp down, shovel several to many shovels full on it and drag whole thing to a dumping area. Repeat. Much easier than heaving...

wow, snow blower looks like a toy compared to the drift...

Took me over two hours to get it cleared up.  The driveway is three cars wide and one car deep.  I have to throw most of the snow into the street because the sides don't have enough room to pile it up without screwing up my neighbors.  That and tossing it over the top of the cars before they can be moved is kinda difficult, too.

This snowfall is as bad as any since 2013 when we moved in.  I had one like this our first winter and quickly realized that shoveling anything like this again would literally kill me if I had to do it again so I got the snowblower.  Now at 69, there is zero way I could have shoveled any of it if I wanted to.  Fortunately, I did not have to work yesterday, either.

And ... I had to go out and blow off the street in front of the driveway because our newest Civic, a 2017 with turbo, has a 7 speed automatic tranny and excellent tires would not get up any tire speed fast enough to spin the tires enough to move it.  It kept upshifting to a lower tire / engine speed.  It got stuck. I eventually got it to move.  Meanwhile the other Civic, a 2004 with a stick and crappy tires pulled right out and had no trouble.

I have to figure out this automatic tranny problem going forward and soon.  Perhaps I have to put it in Low to keep it from upshifting and maybe get the tire speed that is needed in order to churn through the deep stuff when it gets stuck.  Never had this problem before, but I never had a 7 speed automatic tranny before either.

Sigh ... first world problems ...

Seven plus inches with the top two or so solid, heavy ice. Grateful for a neighbor helping me get cleared up.

About 700 miles north of you and the most snow we’ve seen all season was about 2”. This has been really screwy. Been 40° for the better part of the past 2 weeks.

We got through the bomb cyclone, but it's still been windy and now we have an atmospheric river. I don't mind the weather people getting all colorful with their new fangled definitions, but how about a temperate tsunami, or an awesomeness convergence?

The coastline took a beating. Winds upwards of 90+ MPH and Tons of people without power. Only good thing was the high tides were at the low point for the month. I lucked out with no power loss.
