Regarding classic rock, I would actually listen occasionally to an all deep track Classic Rock station. I would like it if RP would play more classic rock. I get my new music fix through college radio, it is actually the fantastic classic rock selections that are my favorite part of RP.

On the contrary - I think every 3 or 4th song should have a classic tune including an oldie ( Yes Bill include the 50's ) once in a while. Play those deep tracks that classic radio seem to avoid . Many listeners are not that musically balanced as most of the listeners are with RP. They have no interest in new music or songs they don't reconize. This change will lure them in and finally realized they can get turned on to the songs they may never have hear in their life time. Bill has a talent of mixing tunes and a little bit of a theme tread might work also. Just a little idea on how to make RP the best AAA Stream on the web. FreeForm WBCN comes in at a close second with Public radio WXPN in Philly is third.

I think you'll like it - it's not dark & gloomy. They have a "Doomed" station for that

sirdroseph wrote:No, not suddenly. RP is geared towards older listeners. It is the most eclectic, high quality adult contemporary station in the world, but it is still an adult contemporary station. I would suggest this station for you, the younger listener; WUSC There are also literally hundreds of other college radio stations that would probably more fit your listening needs! Enjoy! Thanks for the hint with WUSC, I'll give it a try. Good quality college stations are not soo common here, so this is pretty new to me. :) Totally agree about the quality of RP, that's why I always end up here.

First of all, I love radio paradise and listen to it almost every day.
What worries me is that recently there are a lot of classic rock tracks in the playlist... There is nothing about a classic here and there, but it's getting too tacky for me. If I would like to listen to this kind of music, I could easily switch a classic rock station - this is not what RP should be about in my opinion.
I miss to stumble upon new tracks- fresh, sometimes a bit more electronic, even oriental vibes - as it was a few months ago. I don't even bother about some country in between. I am 26 and feel as if I am suddenly getting too young for RP.

I wish there was more classic rock. Bill does a great job with his mix. The PSD will more than likely play one of your favorites...That's what it is there for. Cheers.
