I'm surprised! Most of the rap or hip-hop songs I've ever been exposed to are loaded with profanity and defiance, but this is its own genré. Gentler vocals, a more positive message, and yes, very hypnotic. I like it. (I'm waiting for someone to stare at me and demand, "Who are you, and what have you done with Cynaera?!")

Whenever I hear a Lennon song, I thank God that he lived during my lifetime. He had a beautiful soul and a beautiful vision. I try to carry it forward with me, in my small way. I miss you, Johnny. Thank you for all that you bequeathed to the rest of humankind.

 

However, a troll is always out to get a response, they don't care what kind of response, be it adulation or brickbats, it's just provoking a response, being noticed is what they crave.
 
And so I suggest that we revert to the wonderfully uncoordinated response to it's earlier postings when we collectively ignored it completely, right up to the point that it fouled a memorial thread.
 
Hard, but we can do it.

I'm not an old white guy, but I love this song. Whatever comparisons are made, I don't care. I just love the Allman Brothers, and this is an amazing jam. I can close my eyes and be anywhere - driving down a long stretch of two-lane highway with no cars and only the sunrise in my eyes. I can be at the top of a mountain, with the clouds below me and the snow brushing my face. I can be on a sandy beach with white sand, sunshine, and the sound of a ukelele in the distance. I can be anywhere, doing anything. This song takes me to those places. The Allman Brothers' music always does that to me.

Okay - you drink your white chai tea or sniff your glue or whatever else you might do to get inspired. I listen to the music of RadioParadise, and it keeps me alive and motivates me and inspires me. I love RP.

So - okay, this is a Bob Dylan song, but he paraphrased some words I can remember my mother reciting to me whimsically when I was a little kid in the late fifties: "I'll eat when I'm hungry. I'll drink when I'm dry. And if a tree don't fall on me, I'll live 'till I die."

Hi, romeotuma! So far, it's been pretty damned good. Two hummingbirds (Mom and baby), a weird cat kafoffel ending in a serious nap-attack, and Bro is at our sister's house, getting dinner and home-made cinnamon rolls for his 56th birthday. I'm off to take a bubble-bath, with RP blaring. Sometimes, life is really good. I hope it's good for you, too, my friend.
