Rest in peace, my beautiful cousin Barbara.... ...I will always remember you dancing a graceful, barefoot Greek dance on the deck of the Yankee Barn at the family reunion....I will remember oftentimes hearing your mother's voice in your voice when you talked, I will remember your love of cooking—especially delectable Italian dishes—and wine, your love of the finest things in life, you playing a soothing Ella Fitzgerald "Jazz Around Midnight" while we drove to the restaurant.....your beautiful doe-like eyes that had all the beauty of Aunt Viola and Uncle Bill combined.....and your style & grace. I will miss you so much, but now I feel I have one more ally in heaven. Please give Tony a big hug for me and your mom and dad too. We'll miss you so much

P has set up an ancestor shrine in the alcove in our living room - it's perfect for it. Next weekend I'm going to my parents to borrow pictures of some of my ancestors to scan and get in fromes to add to the shrine.

Alexandra wrote:Two years ago this morning, my brother Tony left us for the Great Beyond. We all felt it was fitting that he went on All Hallows Eve. Two years later, I sat in the new home of my sister-in-law as their almost-ten-year-old son played us a few tunes from his piano book (he is a highly-skilled beginner).....and my S.I.L. sat there smiling happily beside her new and wonderful husband. Tony's memory is kept very much alive in their house, and with loving respect. Somewhere, I know Tony's spirit is smiling. But oh do we miss him and his bear-hugs and ready laugh. can't believe it's been two years.
