Finally finished it.
Sweet jeebus. I feel like someone just ripped my heart out—-like the clones in the film.
A movie hasn't made me cry this hard in quite awhile. I worried the cat.
There is always something about a story—be it book or movie—when two people deeply in love don't get to be together because one/both of them die (or they just can't be together)....it totally undoes me. Ever since I was little I've been affected that way.

I read the book. It was quite good.... dark and sad.... and at some points a bit too slow.

I saw this in the theater.
You're right, the ending is not happy... but it's a beautiful movie containing some really good performances. Seeing the movie made me want to read the book, though I haven't managed to do so yet.

"The Stoning of Soraya M" Can't really say that I "loved" this movie, but it was excellent (and horrific) all the way around. It was a true story about an Iranian woman who's husband wanted to marry a 14 year old(!) and falsely accused the wife of adultery to get rid of her (she wouldn't consent to a divorce)...she ended up being stoned to death.
