That has been my plan for the last 5 years, and I'm loving it. Oh, and Brian Eno rules!

For me its' more about a certain level of standards that I'm comfortable with, which can be seen to be expectations. I would never lower those basic standards for a lover, mate or even those I make friends with. I think basic respect for others is high on my list of standards (or expectations) for anyone I would choose to spend my time with.
I find that particular "expectation" too be based , very much, on reality and many years of lifetime experience.

My take on this whole expectation thing is when it comes to love, throw expectation out the window. Matter of fact throw everything out the window! The only way to get what you want is think of the prospect as little as possible, improve yourself in all facets of your life and just let it happen. Edit: Of course it is easier when you are a Sagitarrius and a Dragon!

Every single one of you has multiple Brian Eno songs and most of you don't even know it! You take whatever you want from that just remember someday all of your computers will turn on you.

There are many potential spouses out there who don't get considered because they don't make enough money, they aren't good looking enough, etc.
When we got married (women of a "certain age" I think you know what I'm talking about), we didn't expect a person to be perfect, and yet many of us stayed married (maybe still married) because we didn't expect a 100% perfect spouse. Same with arranged marriages, they manage to make it work because they have the same goals.
I am no expert, this is just my observation in noticing that the women complain that they can't find anyone to marry, but they hardly even date because they don't want to go out with someone who is not their perfect ideal. If you want to get married and have children, you have to go out with a lot of guys and find one that wants the same things that you do.
And expectations will undo you every time. Have plans not expectations, because expectations are not based on reality.
Again, just my opinion.
