Oh yeah, i remember! i had such a crush on a boy when i was in 9th grade who went to the private school locally and he played piano and introduced me to all the joe jackson that i could get my hands on. my dad even started stealing my albums/tapes for his commute in the car to and from work.

and you're right - underrated, for sure. such a talented musician.

Me too. It all started with his "Night and Day" release, back in 1982 for me. Remember this one?

Another one by him (1979), greatly overlooked. ;-)

Not to ever forget his "Slow Song"...

I think he's been among the most underrated musicians on the scene, ever.

That song (by Louis Jordan) is not on this new release (yes, not "new music") by Joe Jackson.

So I still don't know what this Shakey Graves is all about. I guess I should try to get over it.

that ultimately should fall back on him (sound engineer first tho)
he's a bit of a one man band/on the spot performer too

Post punk seems to be where it's at. Specifially, anything that gets the nod from Dan Carey / speedywunderground.

There's some cool stuff coming out of  Aus, too.

See King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard for an eclectic roller coaster.

Or D. D Dumbo for some more mellow sounds.
