My understanding is that they represent the policy of smaller government. When Reagan and the Bushes were President (which was a lot of years, right?) did they make government any smaller? No.

I can't believe I'm wasting my time on someone whose so thick.genepicard: I'm sorry, is this a five minute argument, or the full half-hour? fuh2: Oh, it's the lifetime one. genepicard: Look this isn't an argument. fuh2: Yes it is. genepicard: No it isn't, it's just contradiction. fuh2: No it isn't. genepicard: Yes it is. fuh2: It is not. genepicard: It is. You just contradicted me fuh2: No, no, no, no. genepicard: You did, just then. fuh2: No, nonsense! genepicard: An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a definite proposition. fuh2: No it isn't. genepicard: Yes it is. It isn't just contradiction. genepicard: Oh, look this is futile. Obama's stimulus package is a failure. Show me how it's working. 10% unemployment, read my reply on the previous page again. SLOOOWLY this time. FDR's New Deal jobs stimulus was much bigger. The entire country was out of work. Different time.
You mean your comparing Obama's time to FDR's time.
Are you hungry? Got no food in the cupboard? Got no home? Got no car? Got no internet to voice only your correct opinion. Got no electricity to power your PC. Oh, yes I know your a PC user.
Boy, I think you should read, if you can, about the GREAT DEPRESSION.
This is futile. My mom told me to never talk about 2 things in public. 1. Politics 2. Religion Sorry mom, I lowered my standards and IQ in this forum.

Eisenhower was courted to run for Prez by both parties. He was so (publically) politically neutral and popular, he would have been elected no matter which side he ran on. That's how we ended up with Stevenson as his opponent. Sorta like Dole vs Clinton. Dole was merely a sacrificial lamb as was Stevenson.
Adlai Stevenson was often called an "egghead". A large portion of the public seemed to think he was "too smart". He was quite popular though, but not enough to win against a war hero like Eisenhower - particularly in Ike's first term. Ike's VP was definitely a Republican: I believe his wife even wore a "respectable Republican cloth coat".

First up let me clean up your spelling. I think youre you're a bit politically confused greenp green-up. For your information, I was green and developing solar power and recycling when you were wetting your Pampers. I think you should green up. Don't you know that Pampers will take 500 years to degrade. You should have used a nice cotton cloth one.

I've NEVER met a Republican supporter who also supported FDR. They should let you out of the institute more often. You just can't understand that a Republican can admire a Democrat. Your first few lines say it all about your philosophy. Most Republicans consider FDR as the devil. Only Most? According to you ALL Republicans should consider FDR as the devil.

Three great Republicans.
Lincoln who was a "Radical" Republican. The GOP got bought off in the 1870's by Big Businesss monopolists.
Teddy Roosevelt who was had to quit the Republican party because he busted up the big monopolies. He was the 1st to enforce the Sherman Anti-Trust Act.
Eisenhower who warned us of the dangers of the Military Industrial Complex and raise dthe taxes on the rich from 90% to 92% at one point. You should read the letter he wrote to his brother sometime. Wow, the guy was way more Progressive than Clinton or Obama. Very unusual Republican.

It was an effort in stupidity personified with a capital "S". So beam me up Scotty, cause there's no intelligence here in this forum.
