ScottFromWyoming wrote:I mostly meant, I can follow written instructions. Ikea instructions are all pictures and shit. Indeed. Which ties in with 'Things I Miss': written instructions. I don't really mind ten pages of different languages, if I can tear off the section I need. But that would require translators and $hit, which costs money. Love the cartoon though.

I am so over KD furniture a la IKEA. I can't stand particle board stuff anymore. I'll make something myself first. I mostly meant, I can follow written instructions. Ikea instructions are all pictures and shit.

Based on your input, we are looking at developing amateur radio kits. Our goal is to have kits available by the end of year. I built the Vellemen K4040 90 wpc tube amp about 10 years ago. It wasn't a very good design and took a lot of mods to get it sounding decent and reliable.. A friend of mine I sold it to still uses it daily.

My first job ever was with Grief Kit as a kid wiring up "factory wired" stuff for them. They farmed it out. My Dad was an engineer and a Ham (W9ETP) and got me into electronics at a very early age. He made sure I had an FCC first class before I was HS age. I never became a Ham but it came in handy for when I volunteered for the HS FM station as an "engineer".
