Why not an OBJECTIVE political show? Would that be too much to ask? I guess Tim Russert isn't gonna walk through that door anytime soon, huh? It's too bad. I think America is at a loss when we cannot have a trustworthy political show anchor who would hold BOTH sides' feet to the fire. Tim was one of those, and his replacement on MTP is not even worthy to mow Tim's lawn. I watch Face the Nation on CBS on Sunday mornings now, 'cause Bob is the closest thing we got to objective journalism on Sundays.
I think that David Gregory is not biased, he is a good journalist, and he asks the tough questions of Dems as well as Republicans. George Stephenopolis was also very good.

Best political show I've watched in many a moon. Explains things clearly. Definitely a leftward lean, and some unnecessary hyperbole - but not a stupid show. That would be worse.

I love listening to Doris, and she's a Red Sox fan, but she is a three note tune: Lincoln, FDR and baseball.

buddy wrote:Yeah, being sexy on the news - that's the important thing. Forget about the fact that she has an undergraduate degree in public policy from Stanford (1994); upon graduation was awarded the John Gardner Fellowship for Governmental Studies; was a recipient of a Rhodes Scholarship, starting her postgraduate studies in 1995 at Lincoln College, Oxford; in 2001 completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree (DPhil) in Politics from Oxford University; her doctoral thesis is titled "HIV/AIDS and Health Care Reform in British and American Prisons"; and was the first openly gay American to win a Rhodes scholorship. I don't believe there is a more credentialed news person in all of American television. Holy Carp! She's gay???!!!! Well, I suppose that explains the "not sexy" thing. ...maybe it's time for a trip to Hooters?... Don't make me go cut and paste Greta Van Susteren's and Gretchen Carlson's resumes here.
