It's fine. I just dumped a whole lot of music into the playlist and figured I would pare it down. One needs to be selective when determining the right mix...

The making of a great compilation tape, like breaking up, is hard to do and takes ages longer than it might seem. You gotta kick off with a killer, to grab attention. Then you got to take it up a notch, but you don't wanna blow your wad, so then you got to cool it off a notch. There are a lot of rules. Anyway... I've started to make a tape... in my head... for Laura. Full of stuff she likes. Full of stuff that make her happy. For the first time I can sort of see how that is done.

She has given us the option to create liner notes for our CDs, though it is not a requirement. The request is to at least enclose a track list for your mix.

Those of us who are hosting this month already know who we have to send CDs to.

Ok!  I have to get to work soon, but let me answer the other questions I read in one post:

1)  It's not too late to join.  This simply means I need to add another co-host because we have already bumped up the group by 5.
2)  I'll share the list of people / groups when we share playlists for this month's mixes.  The co-hosts already know obviously.
3) You will always get to choose your own theme when you co-host a month.  I'll just post themes for suggestions to those who might need it.
4) Yes we will rotate out of groups once everyone in that group has had a chance to host.

Got it?

Great!  See you all later!

I know, I know... that's why I'm very guarded when I sense left-brainitis creepin' in. We all know we have to deal with all of that (ridiculous privacy-invading forms, hard-to-please clients, competitive bidding, etc.) as a part of lives, so when there's an opp'y for something that's almost purely creative, I can get overly protective about it, as in "please don't spoil this."

The postcard swap also required organization, was very cool, very creative, and there wasn't nearly the amount of "how's it work?" discussion. There's beauty in simplicity.

Just try and quell the desire to take ownership of the whole thing, C. You've been around here long enough to know that we all spout out ridiculous ideas regarding stuff like this not expecting most of them to stick. It's more like a stream of consciousness purge.
