I bootlegged a copy of ÜberSmasher and managed to squeeze 1.2 hours* in!  But damn, no fruit smell.  Mine will be something like aluminum and leather... he he he.  Hows that for fascinating foreshadowing, eh?
*btw... what's with the 1.1 and 1.2 HOURS?? why don't they just list minutes??

Gotta shoehorn these puppies in there.

Thats what I was thinking... the first song actually is slightly clipped at the beginning (it imported that way) so it's all a bit abrupt.  Was trying to compensate if I could.  Not sure I'm up for editing the song itself though...

I've decided on 1 sec between... but I do with there was a way to add 2 seconds to the very beginning.

Also: tip of the week: don't burn faster than 24X.  (Really, I've got a state of the art computer, and CD's that can burn at 56X or whatever... you'd think it would behave.)

Just line up your playlist, then when you're happy with it click burn disc in the lower right corner.
A dialogue box will come up and within it you get to choose how many seconds go between each track.

Using a software tool like Audacity (free), there sure is.

EDIT: Record a a second of silence. Cut it to the clipboard. Open up the first track, then insert the 1-sec. silence to the beginning. Note: This is prior to burning a CD.

I may do both... a jewel case and a soft sleeve with an insert...

I used slimline jewel cases and mailed everything out in either a bubble mailer envelope or a really thick recycled cardboard mailer that is for sending digital media. I was tempted to design a little envelope/folder instead of just liner notes in a jewel case, but decided against it.
Oh, and I only left 1 second between songs.
None of this is how you need to do things, of course, but I figured I'd share a little of what I did with you anyway.

The discs should survive the postal service fine, so long as they are sandwiched inside something, like heavy cardboard.  If you were sending to me, I wouldn't ask for one.  I ripped my first month CD to computer anyway.

Another good question.  I would actually mix them so they segue RP-style, so the shorter the gap, the better for me.

It may come down to the levels, tempo, and fading of the tracks going out and in.
