Anyone know of good alternatives to RP?

For variety, it's hard to beat WFUV's alternative stream. KEXP in Seattle is another great place to find out about bands that only other musicians know about. I'll always remember being stuck in traffic on I-5 and hearing Godspeed You Black Emperor for the first time. Gotta love KGSR. There's commercials but Jody Denberg's a great program director and a pillar of the Austin music scene.

Maybe he'll spin my music - since they won't do it here on RP.
I'll check it out anyway - thanks.
I'm always on the lookout for new music that isn't compressed to the point where it no longer resembles music, so feel free to submit some. I don't have an LRC, but my decision making process takes almost as long, so be forewarned. Just ask Kurt how it works. He's intimately familiar with the process. PS - Thanks for the plug, Kurt!

Amen, ditto, bump. JohnErle also rocks it up a bit more, which is welcome, despite the bizarre Big Country fetish he has. Of all my fetishes, that one's the least bizarre. Just be thankful I don't have websites dedicated to the other ones.

Laquidera maintains some old sound files HERE Next time you are in Central/Northern Mass, or NH, try http://www.wxrv.com, or you can stream them. They are an excellent, independent (even solar powered) station in this area. Used to love the old BCN days!, and partied more than once with Laquidera, and Mahk Arenteau when I lived "in town".
