As you can see on those maps, the one we had yesterday is right in line with all those other ones.
A little further north west but still in the line.

The San Andreas is on the other side of the valley (north) from these fault lines.

I remember an article in a National Geographic Magazine after the big Landers/ Big Bear/ Hector Mine  quakes we had back in the 90's.(all in the 7's)
Someone they interviewed mentioned about the shifting of the San Andreas to the east because of the bend in the fault near L.A.
(Path of least resistance).
She said the San Andreas really is a hard line to define.
And mentioned if you could put one foot on Las Vegas and the other on Catalina Island, you would cover the spread of influence of that fault.

In fact, before and after those very large quakes, there were volcano warnings issued in Mammoth Lakes on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada. Which would be the path of least resistance.

"Love" waves they were indeed.

Ross Stein seems to be the man. There is a brief youtube animation of the Mamara quake he did that illustrates coulombic stress transfer quite well.

It looks like there was little physical damage.  Glad you made it alright and with humor. 

Yep. Felt it. kind of similar to the last one back in April. I felt dizzy afterwards. .

My god, a 3.5 is equivalent to a bus hitting a pothole. It deserves no more than 1 minute on the news but they drag it on, and on, and on.....

I can imagine what it was like over there.
