You're my hero! You're supposed to be telling me what to do! Oh, woe is us!
There's something you're supposed to do when you turn 62 but I don't know what it is - or if it's a good thing or a bad thing. So I was told by a social security lady a couple weeks ago.
There's nothing you are supposed to do. But you can apply for social security. Perhaps with disability! I did. I don't recommend it though. Benefits are way lower.

i know less than nothing about your situation (and that probably applies to lots of other stuff too)
however, you may want to explore a local expert in your area regarding benefits
like a retired social security judge/employee
i'm sure there's a checklist, and you may have options
like do you go for regs or disability?
which is more beneficial in your case?
ss droids may not be that helpful in navigating the system

I hear you. know one ever told me how to get old. I'm lost and confused!
You've never gotten old before so who can say? Probably eat lots of spinach and learn to Love the view from the long way home on the road less traveled...
Things that make me cry and/or sick to my stomach: witnessing a vicious dog attack (luckily from a block away). There was nothing I could do (people were trying to help the young woman and her dog who were being attacked) but stand helplessly. And then after it was broken up (by a neighbor with a stick, since the owner was unable to do anything) and we had walked away, to see an ambulance going to the scene ...
That would make me cry too. I once hit a deer in a really weird unexpected place - in the middle of traffic w/3 lanes in each direction near a major intersection. I don't know what happened to it - it flew over my car and had I stopped I could have caused a crash. I pulled over and balled for 10 minutes straight. Sorry about your experience - very upsetting.
I called the local police this morning to see if I could find out anything about the situation ... specifically the condition of the woman and her dog. The officer hasn't called me back yet. I didn't walk Weezie up into that neighborhood this afternoon.
(edit) I talked to the police earlier, and the woman and her dog are okay.

Apparently my chest freezer is no longer amongst the living. And I have no idea for how long. So ... goodbye to so much food.
That happened to me with 6 months worth of jack rabbit in it once. And I had just donated a bunch of it to the local wildlife center that housed resident carnivores. No, not OV. different ones.
