You tell people who aren't too bright, not too hopeful, and feel like they're the scum under someone's shoe that there's a literal lizard destroying America and there's nothing you can do about it...they don't have many options but to try to kill it.
Initial reports on this guy's social media are straight-line right-wing conspiracy... pizza gate, vaccine tracking robot, stolen election rhetoric. When Kevin McCarthy says "I want to grab the gavel from Nancy and hit her over the head with it", I guess this guy figured he'd get there first with his own hammer.

I first thought of the Graybar Building on Lexington Ave., a historic, art-deco office building connected to Grand Central Station, and thought: "Since when do they have a prison in there?" Then I remembered the old "Graybar Hotel" phrase.
I always heard it as the Crossbar Hotel, probably starting with Joe Bob Briggs.
I read this fast as Gaybar. Got to stop reading with my glasses on.

A dealership he worked for many years ago has asked their accountant to skim the records for certain anomalies... they're finding the same things. And those Jersey people know a guy #knowhatimean
You should stop talking about Jersey people.
I wouldn't want to have to make you an accessory after the fact.

Phrased carefully, I'm pretty sure Toyota would gladly support local police and first responders instead of having the press and social media debate their commitment to the event.
I did put the situation plainly and succinctly to the administrator of the program, assuming they're smart enough to draw that conclusion as well. Its been 72 hours, so I'm beginning to lose hope, but I'll wait until tomorrow to follow up. Anyway, it's better than an immediate answer, because that would be "No" 100% of the time.
He cut a wide swath. Personally, he promised me a $500 bonus for an event a couple of weeks ago (well deserved so I'm bitter), and at that event he had promised prizes of $1000 and $500 to teams competing in a cookoff for charity, and matching grants from Toyota. The teams were the police department vs the first responders. They'll get their awards and the match but I'm the one who made the presentation and promised the money would go out, but he never got the Toyota buy-in and I get to tell the owner that he needs to cut some pretty big checks pretty soon.

Ooh. Sounds like you didnât get caught up in it? Link when you find it! Wow.

If RP still had journals, I'd probably be writing a long one right now. But here, until the story hits the papers anyway, you get the short version: My boss of the last 7 months is a grifter on a massive scale. And apparently has been his entire life. He's been texting our owner nonstop, detailing some of the cons he was running, and apparently gave a videotaped confession yesterday. Everybody loved this guy; his brain was so quick and his opinions were insightful and valued. I nearly went into a deal with him to lease him a building my family owns so he could open a gourmet deli .... I sit here knowing that if it had worked out, I'd have lost that building. The "Catch Me If You Can" ballsyness of some of the things he got away with will make an interesting story.
