Handwash thoroughly with soap and warm water, for 25 seconds. Here in the US, we fall quite a bit behind a lot of other well-to-do countries in terms of handwashing.
So there's something wrong with washing hands? If we're talking about water consumption-as-wasteful, let's talk about unnecessary things like lawn-watering and crop irrigation during the hottest part of the day. Hand washing is a matter of public health, man, and not just when there's a flu outbreak.

It looks like that most of the contributions are designated to eliminate the question.
Well, it's part of the freedom you're obeisant to.
So why is there such a panic in the US about an influenza virus which is dangerous but no panic about the right to bear guns which is killing more people than this virus?
To advice washing hands looks only sincere where this is not usual. But the US consumption of water is extraordinary. PRESS HERE

Yeah; the US cases seem to be pretty mild, all things considered. Let's hope that it stays that way.

I'd like to understand something tho: are you seriously concerned with the water used in hand washing? If so, we aren't alone in worrying about trivial risks and non-problems.

To advice washing hands looks only sincere where this is not usual. But the US consumption of water is extraordinary. I have no interest in defending guns. But like someone said earlier, the gubmint (and the media) has been successful in making Americans feel the need to own a gun to protect themselves. I personally think it's insane, but that's just me.
