Ah. Yes. I figured this thread is where I'd find Phineas things that annoy me.

I'm smart like that.

That's pretty much what the Scottish lady from Glascow said. Hmm.  However, I reminded her that it was the French that wrote the English language for the first time after the Norman conquest, and that it was we, the Americans who had perfected the English language to the wonderful state that it was in today.  She was not especially impressed with my reasoning and if there had been an "annoying things" topic here on RP she would have undoubtedly posted that I was an annoying american twat, but alas, the forum existed naught and thus, the post was never made.

In any event, spelling??? please.  What idiot left out the U in Colour anyway?

Don't mess with a Glaswegian and never go out drinking with one.

It makes it more colourful. All the US-based designers here on RP are jealous of those of us in the English-speaking world outside the States. Go ahead — ask anyone!

seriously, we americans have to inform the world.  poor things, none of them know anything.

Yes and if we can convince them of the truths of turnips, rutabagas, and other vegetables, then it is not long before they see the truths of other things like american foriegn policy and the american style of diplomacy.

Hey, that's funny you mention that. I am a american living in sweden. I work with a scott and an australian, (as well as a bunch of swedes and another american) anyway, I just had an "argument" with the scottish lady about what a rutabaga is and what a turnip is. It seems the brittish have no real sense about these things. {#No}

no, don't "google" it, for that would be impossible since it is not a verb.  Look it up on google.

Ok, great, are garden vegetables annoying, or just the lamo books about them, or the simple fact that crappy books like that seem to get air time on shows like good morning america or local morning tv nonsense.

and if we are having a go, well, tv is just damn annoying since most of it assumes idiocy on the part of the viewer.   bah
