I would have loved to see 16 Horsepower live. That would have been around 1996. I also would have loved seeing Freddy Mercury live with the Barcelona sessions. Nick Drake in a small café. Otis Redding And some of the jazz legends like T.Monk and Miles Davis.

bokey wrote:I missed out on that the night I got home from bootcamp. I wasn't sure what time I was getting home so told my buddies to give the ticket to a friend, who of course is dead now from a smack OD. Idiot. Loved him like a brother, but couldn't stand what he was doing to himself and he just laughed whenever I gave him shit about it. Just because I've been thinking about this since I posted it, even though it's off topic, the guy had a REALLY bad motorcycle wreck when he was 19. They put him on dilaudid, but cut him off after he was on it for months in the hospital then they discharged him with no taper, so he learned some, umm, alternate methods. The fuckhead. I sure miss the guy. Even when he was on the dope he was still built like a bull. We used to fight for fun . He and some of my friends would shoot pool and whoever lost had to drop and do 50 pushups. I can't count that high anymore, much less do 50 pushups without being unable to move for about 3 days. The fuckhead.

i wish i could go with you to some of those you did see, too! i've seen the stones twice, and intend to again, soon. i'd have loved to have seen any show for the beggars banquet album, that's for certain. but i think i mentioned earlier in this thread, i'd have loved to be there for the filming of rock & roll circus, and i'd even have liked to have been there for altamonte. but somewhere safe, if there was any safe place...

I tried to get tickets to the last ever October Project show. I didn't have my checkbook and they wouldn't take a credit card. All I could do was go home.
Spoiled-brat intern at work got to go, said it was the most epically wonderful show ever. I've always regretted not getting to see it.
Or Lyle Lovett the one and only time he came here—neighbor was driving thru town, heard the announcement on the radio, went straight to the store for tickets and got one of the last pairs of seats before it sold out minutes later. I missed that one too.

I'd like to see the Beatles in one of those sweaty Hamburg clubs circa 1960. And hopefully I wouldn't overindulge in alcohol and ?, given that I'd like to be able to recount the evening in some detail the rest of my life.

Reminds me of having center seats within the first three rows at DTE Energy Center (nee Pine Knob Music Theater) to see/hear George Benson. Two or three tokes of the Thai stick made us all 100% catatonic and I remember nothing of the evening other than wondering if I was being anti-social because I was completely GONE.
