Try again. One most certainly did (unless the timing of his strokes was incidental) and the others I’m sure all had plans to commit suicide on their personal calendars shortly after the insurrection happened. I guess you must have have also missed the the first-hand testimony of the Capitol police guards and how they were beaten and in fear for their personal well-being when this all went down?

I guess they were all liars too?

Let's make this clear, once again ... There was a riot and all who broke laws should be prosecuted.

I saw the entire speech and kept on watching afterwards long into the evening.  I saw a Capitol building with almost zero police guarding it and those who were, were letting people into the building and even taking selfies with the protesters.  How many protesters were found carrying guns ?  If this was an insurrection by your standards, you set a bar that is so low that no one would even stub a toe coming into contact with it.

I chose not to engage in the ongoing cry of insurrection because all of you lunatics were beyond obsessed with it and incapable of reasoning.  You've been repeating the story so long, you believe it is true no matter what anyone else has to say about it.  Now that the FBI has come forward and said after their investigation that this was not an insurrection, I will take you on about this and argue back.  Your new found party and its friend and overseer, the MSN has lied to you and leads you around by your nose and you happily oblige.

Please cite the quote from the FBI official that said it was not an insurrection.

Let me make this clear for you. Trump instigated an insurrection (based on a lie that the election was stolen from him) that he hoped would interfere with Congress’ certification of Joe Biden’s victory. Nothing could be clearer than that and the only lunacy being demonstrated is by your ignorant blind allegiance to a twice impeached liar. You gobble up the lies of the great orange orb like a small baby bird… always needy and always hungry for more.

What was the riot about? What triggered it?

Why was the Capitol the target? Was it a coincidence that Congress was in joint session at the time to certify the election results?

No insurrection? Go tell that to the families of the dead policemen. It was a televised reality witnessed by all of America. I guess the impeachment for "said" insurrection was fictitious too? It doesn't matter how much or little planning might be behind it... Trump's intent to hold onto power was clear and he was trying to use the crowd as a means to that end. Insurrection?... of course there was one... nothing could be clearer.

The fact that you don't believe Trump was inciting an insurrection tells me all I need to know about your profound and bottomless ignorance. You and Mike Lindell ought to consider getting some sort of matching tattoos. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid my friend.

It is quite clear that any plans left behind by Trump were discounted and tossed.  It has been Biden's plan from day one to undo everything that Trump accomplished over the last four years.  Afghanistan is no different.  Trump was to have us out by the end of May.  Biden disregarded that and came up with his own plan.

On day one Biden killed the Keystone pipeline and just earlier this month was begging OPEC to increase oil production.  Defend that one.

Very ironic that you say Biden is working to undo Trump's accomplishments given that was exactly what Trump was doing but I digress...

Please cue me in on Trump’s plan. The fact is that Trump doesn’t plan anything. Never did… never will. You had an early taste of that when he threw out Chris Chistie’s transition plan and replaced it with nothing which was a fitting way to usher in Trump’s sh*t show of an administration. He had a plan for handling a pandemic handed to him which he also ignored because it came from the Obama administration. Plans are his personal kryptonite.

You are dealing in areas that aren't quite as black & white as you would like to believe they are. Even you don't believe that Biden was sitting down on his iPad working out the bullet points of an extraction plan. Yes, the extraction is turning out to be a mess. One big issue is what information was Biden being fed leading to the extraction from his top level military advisors? If different scenarios were mapped out to him and recommendations made as to the best scenario and he chose that scenario based on those recommendations... isn't that what most leaders would do? Was there information that was withheld from him? He ultimately will be responsible for his decision (and will undoubtedly suffer for it) but unless it becomes known that he ignored recommendations that could have resulted in a different outcome... what can one really expect?

Kurt - what was the plan?  There was no plan, and the "accomplishments" you site that Biden wanted to undo was Trumps attack on any plan.  He hates plans.  He hates people who plan. He thinks he's so smart he doesn't have to plan.  It's preposterous.

As for Keystone...I realize juggling two issues can be challenging, so I'll try to go slow.  You can stop one thing to prioritize the local environment, even if you still need the oil.  At that point, you move on.  I'm sure you know that the majority of the Keystone oil was going to be exported from the US as refined products.  The impact on gasoline pricing would be negligible...but we digress.  Oh yeah...Biden stopped it in January.  How much oil would have been flowing 7 months later when he asked OPEC to increase production?  I know...it's a lot to remember.

As oil prices and inflation rise, you ask those that produce the oil to increase production (which was reduced to keep prices high during COVID in 2020) so that inflation doesn't spiral into all of the prices that are impacted by oil.    It's called managing the economy.  It's the kind of thing you would do if you had the "greatest economy in history", but then pissed it away and lost an election because you tried to prop up the stock market instead of addressing the virus.

I know, it's the Chinese Communist Party's fault.  Good thing they like Joe so much.

We have some history to guide us here.

Hoards of refugees clamoring to escape persecution, leading to US troops in harm's way to protect them. Yeah, we know how sympathetic Trump was to refugees. I mean, they're from a shithole country, right? Why should we lift a finger to help them, let alone guard an airport while we fly them to safety?

Or maybe he would have built a wall around the airport and made the Taliban pay for it.

Biden has not covered himself with glory here, but this disaster was 20 years in the making. I can't blame the last fool when the previous three did at least as much...as presidents. Biden gets some unique blame for his decades in congress authorizing (and failing to exercise oversight and control over) the debacle as it unrolled, but he's not alone there either.

The recent loss of life is tragic but these bodies are stacked on a pile a quarter million tall.
