"What kind of music does your band play?"

I always hate that, mainly b/c it's rarely true.  Most of these asshats sound like a mix of stuff you grew up on mixed with stuff that's new which is based on stuff you grew up on which means...right...

This is my other favourite, usually found in bios:

"Unsatisfied with the current trend in music I/we/they decided to take matters into their own hands and create and unleash their own brand of suck..."  The arrogance of this statement astounds me.

MY bands on the other hand, are ALWAYS original and don't sound like anything you've ever heard before ;)

(I will say this, though - I was in the first and only Alt-Folk-Prog band!)

We're releasing another split 7" with this other obscure punk band from Minneapolis....and we're going on a two week tour to promote it.....cities include:

St. Louis
Athens
Chapel Hill
Talahassee
Pittsburgh
Cleveland
Not in that order.

Never saw Deep Purple, but I did see Gillan as Christ in Superstar.  Stunning performance.  Even if everything was not louder than everything else!
