Why, not convenient for you to accept a wacko Democrat killing a whole bunch of people without an "assault style" weapon?    {#Doh}  Doh!

The only help I might have needed was cropping the facebook tag at the bottom calling Obama the worst ever.  Ignore that part. Or embrace it, its what is above that that matters.  I wasn't going to download and reupload to my flickr account and waste the time or space.

... thank you for your concern.

Why, Geordie? Do you see inaccuracies in Kurt's post? Or is it just that you can't abide facts that don't agree with your preconceived opinions?

Exactly!

And the media, for whatever reason, doesn't seem to want to ask that question - even after our local paper printed this in today's fishwrap:

Timeline: The troubled history of Jeremy Goulet leading to shooting of two Santa Cruz Police officers

Timeline of events that led Jeremy Goulet to Santa Cruz, where he killed two police officers and was subsequently shot and killed on Feb. 26, 2013.

Yet he had three firearms registered to him. Unbelievable.

Two Santa Cruz police officers, suspect shot and killed as manhunt continues for another suspect

SANTA CRUZ — In a town besieged by an uncommon spate of violence in recent weeks, the most horrifying turn came Tuesday: Two Santa Cruz police officers were gunned down and the suspect was killed in two shootings.

Santa Cruz had never lost an officer in the line of duty.  . . .

. . .  As they investigated the shooting, police issued an all-points bulletin for Goulet, 35, who they said had three weapons registered to him, including a .40-caliber semi-automatic Sig Sauer. He had been arrested by Santa Cruz police Friday on suspicion of disorderly conduct but bailed out, according to arrest records. He listed his occupation as a barista.  . . .

. . .  Goulet was convicted in 2008 on sex and gun charges in Portland, Ore., according to an article on the Oregonian newspaper's website. He was found guilty of peeping at a 22-year-old woman as she showered in her condo and of carrying a concealed weapon, which discharged after Goulet was confronted outside by the victim's boyfriend, according to the article. He was put on probation in that case but decided to serve a two-year jail sentence because he couldn't get along with his probation officer, the article said.  . . .

I've been following this since about 5 this evening. It was just across the Bay from us, about 50 miles by road, 22 by sailboat. How did this man get three weapons registered to him? One TV report referred to "a long previous arrest record."

Oh yea, I first heard about this a week ago but have mixed feelings about it. They use them (they ordered more, but have always used targets like this) to prepare officers for quick decisions they may have to make being confronted by a perp who does not look like a perp by appearance. American police officers are faced with these types of decisions in the real world here, it is just not our soldiers that are being forced to shoot women and children combatants coming at them with AKs, RPGs or having bombs strapped to them. However I do not see the value in stationary targets with these images moreso in animated simulations (which I have actually participated in) so yea, it is a little freaky.{#Eek}

And yes we already have high speed rail underway in California.  The first 60 miles are under construction serving the metropolis' of Modesto and Fresno.  The initial cost is scheduled at $6 Billion.  That works out to the bargain price of $100 Million per mile.  And that is on flat farmland, no mountains or major bridges or tunnels involved.  I'll find a link if you like.  I cited it and posted it before.  You can take your high speed rail and ...

But keeping on topic, they move too fast for train robbers with guns on horse back making them safe for travel.

It's working just fine for me. "Trickle down" is what is keeping me, and a lot of other people, alive. (Haven't been employed since 2008, thanks to Bush and his fellow scum.)

Better "trickle down" (Obama) than "trickle on" (Reagan/Clinton/Bush I & II.)

Not so good. Obama has taken the baby boomers and put all their heads on spikes.
That's OK, but guns are  bad.

Except now after 30 years of Republican Trickle down economics America is now last among developed nations in infrastructure, education, health care distribution, and number one in income inequality,  murder, mass shootings, per capita prison popultion and many more.

We dont even have a single mile of high speed rail while China will soon have 23,000 miles. America literally is bvecoming a 3rd world nation. So take your RepubliCON flag-waving, chest-thumping somewhere else. I'm not buyin it.
