Brief anecdote. When I was in the 9th grade we had an exchange student from Argentina who was a soccer wizard and dribbled circles around all the boys on the intramural field. He was just amazing and impossible to defend against, such were his skills. He suffered some taunting and abuse from the usual a-holes in this setting, and learned plenty of vulgar Americanisms popular among the immature, but he was a really cool guy, and was my first real experience with a person from another country...
