Radio Paradise

I'm having great difficulty (as in, it's not working this week) playing Radio Paradise on our Amazon Echo devices. Both via TuneIn and the RP app it starts to play and then fails and stops, mid-song, without even playing an entire song most of the time. We usually play to a speaker group, but I tested just on one device and it behaved the same way. Other TuneIn stations play just fine though, even immediately after the RP stream died, so it's not our internet at least. Is there some bug or recent change that is affecting playback, or some connection to TuneIn that's broken? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes. I've been having same experience playing from NYC. I've tried using different networks (Verizon, ATT, etc) & also on different streaming services: Tune In, direct streaming links, Roon, etc. All same drop out experience. I ran a couple traceroutes and there's very significant packet loss.

I've used a mix of the iOS app and the web version recently; seems like the app is fine. On the website I have Willie Nelson loving me two times, and Creedence Clearwater falling into a ring of fire.

The M3U feed is not showing any song information (Artist. Title) when playing through iTunes on my iMac (OS Sequoia 15.4.1). Not sure if it a problem with recent update which I just installed today or a bug a the feed end. It is working fine on the Radio Paradise app on my iPhone and iPad after the update on those devices. I have tried a number of different streams and none of them display artist and song title.

The past couple weeks, I've had bugs where the song info shown is from a different song than is currently playing, and the PSD button skipping to songs that have just played 1-2 songs ago. Using mainly the web version lately; not sure if this is happening on the app,

Everything seems okay at the moment.
Sometimes a bad entry makes it into the playlist and have to wait for it to pass.

But things you can try are.
Request a shorter, block.
And occasionally the app needs to reinstall. But that's more common for iOS

I'm was thinking it was me...and maybe it is...but.... I'm afraid of Americans V1 was silent for me. I thought it was my wireless speakers...but looking at the song ratings, it looks to me like something's wrong. Or not...

Would be curious what specific device you are seeing this on.

There's a few Alexa devices that can get loopy. Only real solution is to use an alternative to the skill which doesn't support skipping.

Feature Request: Alana doing the RP announcements in "My Favorites Mix"? (MFM)

I know not hearing any breaks or announcements is kind of a privilege of the MFM, and if request is met with a hatestorm, then I'm clearly bananas. But I thought it would be fun to have William (and Alana) doing the breaks in the Main Mix, then have the Next Generation do the MFM.

Thank you all, even those raging against me, for helping make RP possible. We none of us do it or listen alone.

I often check the app to see what year a song was released, and itâs frustrating that the release year gets pushed off the screen whenever the album title is too long. Iâve tried looking for the date elsewhere in the app, say by tapping album title, to no avail.

Playlist history has more concise formatting to allow for years to display, but still many album titles are too long, so release date is often missing there as well.

Placing year after album title is a design flawâif the title exceeds a certain length, the release year becomes completely inaccessible.

Iâd gladly settle for a smaller text size for the album and song title if that meant I could always see the release date.

Can you put the last played date information back? I can't find it anywhere so I assume you took it out for reasons. Sometimes, though, I hear a song that I thought I heard yesterday and I just want to make sure I'm not going crazy.

Hi all I would like to get the slideshow of the RP App on the lock screen of my phone (Android 13). "Enable slideshow" and "Ken Burnes Effect" are already checked in the app settings. Does someone have an idea what I'm missing?
