So i have several HEOS speakers around the house, and my understanding is that you need to split the file type from the source. Yes, the receiver will plac FLAC files, but you need to source them directly (on a PC/hard drive). If you are streaming, then you need to use the HEOS app, when you then can source the signal through Tunein. There are 4 stream on TuneIn (Main mix, Mellow, Rock and 2050).

The Main mix comes through at 320kps.

I don't think you can get FLAC stream for Heos... not that I've exhausted the options. The Heos app works fine for me (now... years ago it really sucked).

It looks like that model supports Airplay, so you should be able to stream FLAC/ALAC via an apple device. There's likely other ways with their DLNA support via transcoding software but it's a bit involved and not something I'm familiar with.

I've been using HEOS speakers for several years, and they've never made it too easy (the biggest advantage of Sonos IMO).

That said, I think you should be able to load TuneIn as Bill says. The way I do that is not through the receiver, but through the app on a mobile device (phone, tablet). I find that Apple devices work a lot better than Android. On the app, you can add RP and the receiver should mirror the selections. I have the app on several devices (I actually use an older iPad solely to manage HEOS). It will pick up on using the speakers from apps (like Spotify) and automatically load the music for control (in the app)...but it's not so integrated with radio.

You could also try the TuneIn desktop app. I've never done it.

Dear All, I have a Marantz NA6006 streamer and I would like to know hows th best way to stream. I have the chance to stream via TuneIn but I think that via TuneIn it cant be done in FLAC/high resolution format. I also can make it with bluetooth what i really dont want. Its never the same thing. Can you help me? Regards
